Weight gain after having a baby..
sabrina14339 replied to Lema's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Now...definitely check with your doc on this...but maybe look into the diet for women with gestational diabetes? I ate and ate when I first got pregnant. Then I found out I had GD. The diet actually stabilized my weight gain to where the baby was growing but I wasn't gaining. -
Discussing Post-Op worries relayed to the patient by patient's parents

Same exact spot. Totally gung ho on the sleeve. Now I'm reading about reflux, etc and wondering if I should reconsider. I'm told my reflux is likely due to my weight but who knows? Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App -
Yep. Your best bet is to talk to a financial counselor there. But on the history part, I just joined Kaiser and they never asked me for any historical documentation. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

Out of pocket is based on your plan. If its covered, it will likely max out your out of pocket. They do require at least a 750 up front deposit and will work on a payment plan. With my plan, I'll likely pay around 2800-3000 Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

Ashley, they haven't said anything to me about the 3-5 years. I meam, if that was the case, that should all be in your medical history unless you haven't been to the doc at all. The 6 weeks is what is required by Kaiser Denver. I don't believe that is plan specific. I just found out I have have a clean nicotine test before I start classes...which sucks. I have already quit, but they are making me wait 30 days to test. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

Ashley, just started with Kaiser myself. I had my intake appointment (meet with doc, discuss medical history, blood work), the following week met with psych (20 minutes), and am now waiting to be scheduled for my 6 week nutrition class. I was told I should hear within 5 days, so I'll likely call them today. My understanding is surgery typically happens 2-4 weeks after you finish your classes. I got some information when I called Kaiser today

I'm Kaiser as well. Fairly similar feedback, except we are 6 week classes out here. But I was tole surgery 2-4 weeks after classes are done. Surgery is about an hour long and I can expect one night in the hospital as I'm not high risk. I'm assuming others with certain comorbidities or on the heavier end of heavy may need another night. Great transformation! Can I ask, how was your experience with extra skin? Just curious how the muscle building may impact it... Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App -
