I like under armor compression.. the mens sizes go larger and they work just fine. Somewhat expensive considering you'll be changing sizes, but who said this was going to be a cheap journey?!

Last year I learned everything there was to know about electric bikes. Of course I've probably forgotten a bunch of it now, but I have test ridden a few, and they are an absolute blast! They can be pricey, but they are generally marketed as a car replacement. The thing I love about them is it makes riding possible when the biker is out of shape and/or there are hills. The electric assist levels the playing field. For those that haven't heard of them, e-bikes are usually pedalled like a regular bike, but have a large battery and motor that helps boost the bike forward. The operation is virtually silent, unlike a gas powered motor bike. So, anyone have one?

You're welcome. I went to an ebike expo that had a bunch of brands. I rode probably 20 bikes. My favorite was the Specialized Turbo. It doesn't have a Bosch motor, but no matter. My daughter was along and had a different favorite. And it was a small expo, so not all brands were represented. Some of those bikes were great, others... not so much. I did try a Pedego, and though a solid bike, wasn't my style. One day I want to try a Reise and Muller. They are new to the US.... So I'll have to travel to try one.

Oh man... well.. bikes are like shoes. A pair that is perfect for one person won't work for another. But, first, here is a website that is a wonderful resource. https://electricbikereview.com The best way to pick out a bike is by riding as many as you can, and be sure you have a good local dealer that you feel confident will help with maintenance and repairs. Shop around Bosch motors are the best.

People generally love Pedego and have good customer service experiences. Do you think it is a problem with your dealer? You can try contacting Pedego themselves to see if they can do anything to help. Even if that doesn't work out, there are several good brands

For many of us, food was our hobby. Time to find a new one. -
3 wks post op VGS, Hungry, Hungry and still Hungry

I pureed canned tuna or chicken with a little water and chik fil let sauce. Filling, full of protein, and yummy! Please do start counting your protein. By doing so, it will help focus your meals. Aim for 60-70g -
Lost over 70 pounds so far but I barely feel any different?
Berry78 replied to krystalrose219's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm having the opposite problem. I started at 305, and am down 42lbs. I feel so good, that when I go shopping, I'm shocked when a 2x is too tight! (Euro sizing I think). Definitely have to keep reminding myself that I'm still huge! -
Oh goodness! [Hugs]

Elevated Liver Enzymes
Berry78 replied to tanyamann32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a blood test a week post op, and that showed up for me too. I googled it, and apparently it's really common and caused by the weight loss. The liver processes the fat. At least I hope it's true! -
Nausea is really common. Not everyone gets it. You might mention it to your team and they can make recommendations as to what to take. Also, take note of changes in diet to see if there was a trigger. Good luck, hope you feel better!

We need more details. Sick how? Fever? Pain? Vomiting? Tiredness?

Lucky you having the pouch.. I have the sleeve, so have to get something like this!

You poor thing! Avoid cheese for a while yet. The egg might have been a trigger too. Next time you try egg, make it egg drop soup. Since you are getting gas at the evening meal, is what you are eating then different from earlier in the day? You need to start eating more times a day. Even if the only thing you can stand is broth, you should be drinking a quart of it a day. (Preferably homemade so you can control the sodium). This is a full time job for you to keep trying things so you can get your nourishment. Keep trying different types of protein powders and drinks. If all you get is gas, don't let that stop you from eating. Do eat right up until 2 hours before bed. I'm assuming you had the bypass?

Did you "force" yourself to eat things post op that you never liked before?

Yes! It's very common. Go ahead and give it a try! -
MILKTHISTLE to help shrink the LIVER
Berry78 replied to Jewels501's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Some herbs may be contraindicated prior to surgery, particularly ones that have blood thinning properties. Like Marinagirl said, please discuss this with your surgeon. -
You look perfect!

I also found it easier to sip as I walked. Within a couple more days it will get better. Congrats on the surgery!

Another thought... There are other kinds of animals that have a pouch. Any marsupial: Wallabies, possums, koalas, wombats, gliders, tasmanian devils

Sorry, had to jump off and didn't quite finish. We were thinking a boxing kangaroo to represent the struggle, and then I thought what if he had a medal to show he won? Here is something similar, but instead of the shirt, he should have a medal around his neck with your pounds lost # inside.
-
That is better. My hubby recommended trying a boxing kangaroo.

What time is your last meal? See if you can move it to at least 2 hours before bed. Use the last 2 hours to catch up on your water (or maybe warm herbal tea).

Amazing!!! Congrats!!! How long did it take?
