  3. Take this time to have your bubbly Water funeral. Be sure the funeral is complete several days before surgery so you don't have extra air in your intestines. (For comfort reasons). Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

Blowing it, meant to be obese

Probably every person on this message board has been a chronic yo yo dieter. You get excited at the beginning of a new diet, so motivated! The pounds drop off, you go shopping, all is rosy. Then something changes, and you're derailed. The pounds come flooding back on. You never had a tiny tummy all those other failed diets. This time, you have a tool that you never did before. The tool doesn't give permission to derail like before, because just as your anatomy is permanently changed, your lifestyle must be too. But, for your lifestyle to change, your mind must. This is not just another diet You have walked through a doorway from your old life to your new one. The door needs to be locked behind you. Feel free to explore the new world ahead! You deserve it! 5. Double check your Campbell's chicken soup. Did you strain out the noodles? Stuff is very high in carbs if you eat the noodles. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

  7. First off, you HAVE made great progress! Your body is doing its part. It is your mind that needs some work. Get your head where it needs to be. Do you have any local support? Even 1 person that is in your corner (that understands the process)? Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    SURGERY in 12 Hours!

Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  9. Ok, so I haven't had the surgery yet, but do have a story/question that applies. In college I was in the process of losing about 40lbs. Worked out every day and was careful about what I ate. Ate a meal with an older (40ish) friend, and she commented on how little I was eating/how much exercising. Worried I was becoming anorexic. My question... when people see a plump person exercising and eating 2 bites, it is ok. They are working hard, "dieting". But what happens when we get to goal weight, and we are still exercising and eating two bites? Or does our tummies stretch enough that we are eating what appears to be smallish normal meals? Increasing volume intake

Are you asking how much you can swallow in one gulp, or how much you are consuming in a sitting? I think if that is one swallow, it sounds about right. If that is how much you are taking in (in total), then it can be increased. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Diabetic pre op diet

Ask your doc for a medication plan due to the dramatic diet change. You may be able to take less medicine from the start. (Particularly if you are on insulin). Better to take less meds than have to consume more to keep up with the meds. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Motivation or lack there of

When I feel this way, I often find a shower helps. Shower, brush teeth, get dressed in workout clothes, get shoes on, and by the time I've done all that, I'm ready to go do. I know people like to shower after, and I usually do too, but just to get up and going... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Did you find love again?

Sit down and make a list of all the positives of living alone. There are many! I'll start you off: 1. You only have to buy groceries for you. 2. No more socks left on the floor that aren't yours. 3. You don't have to compromise on... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
