  1. Oh, and you might be Vitamin deficient too... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  2. You are probably right that it is blood sugar or anxiety related. Without knowing you and your circumstances, impossible to say. Pay attention to what seems to bring it on, or what seems to make it better. I'm starting to think every bariatric patient should have a blood pressure cuff, glucose meter, thermometer, oxygen, and heart rate monitors. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hunger and thirst can get confused. Stomach acid can give that feeling. Maybe even putting in something cold or warm could make a difference... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  4. Wow, intestinal infection and strictures, no wonder you were so sick! It is good they found your problems and you now have a treatment plan! Here's hoping things will get better and better from here on out! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

Ok, well there was a study done, and for those going into sleeve surgery without GERD, approx. 10% will develop it. Not so bad of odds I guess... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  6. Don't take coughing lightly, always get it checked. Could be nothing ... normal after surgery housekeeping. But could be pneumonia (any fever?) Or even a blood clot in the lung. Let us know what the doc says! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Divorce and surgery

70lbs in two months is nuts! (At least I'm sure that is what he is thinking!). It will take some time for him to get used to the new you. You say he is rude, but is he behaving outrageously, or just a little off balance? Has he indicated a desire to leave? Take a breath, most likely it doesn't mean the end of the relationship. Please don't try to gain the weight back! Family couseling might help a ton. You are worthy of being normal sized and healthy. Do not let anyone make you feel guilty about doing something for your own health. If the doctor told him he needed to have surgery or take a pill to be healthy, would you deny him that? Of course not! This is no different... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  8. As always, mention it to your doc. There is probably a xertain amount of normal, but it is impossible to tell if your is moving more than that. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  9. Some people don't manufacture the enzyme that allows them to break down lactose. The surgery isn't going to fix it. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  10. I don't know about them, but you can not have the surgery and serve in the military in the USA. (If you get the surgery while in the service, you will be fired). Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  11. I'm so sorry to hear about this [Hugs] Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  12. They are probably concerned about anorexia and the like. Maybe tell them that you agree you look thin, but the doctor assures you that everything is fine. People really aren't always trying to be rude. They care! I would let the fact that you want to lose a bit more go unsaid in these instances. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  13. It is ok from the surgery pov. Your friend may find it turns the pouch though... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    How did you decide

Periods do get mental after surgery. (Irregular). Fertility frequently increases, and of course self esteem boost probably results in more bed-time Sent from my SM-N920R4 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Absolutely gutted

Some liver shrink diets are actually real food. Lean Protein and non- starchy vegetables. (Like a skinless chicken breast and broccoli). If you tell them you will stick to that plan, then maybe they will shorten the next diet to less than 2 weeks. I know you are disappointed, but I love your outlook! I do NOT want to tell my dad.

Ok, so tell him it was a surgery for female issues, or a hernia, or your gallbladder out, or even exploratory because the doctor thought you had a bowel obstuction. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App Obstruction Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Hair loss

Ok, give it a good cry! Then take yourself down to the salon and get a new cut that will help. A wig is always an option too. At least you know it should come back. [Hugs]... Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

I do NOT want to tell my dad.

Just don't say anything. If your weight loss is brought up after the surgery, you will have had time to figure out what you want to say at that point. You don't need to feel guilty about keeping it from them, especially before hand. How likely is it your family members that know will tell? Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Mexico aslimmerme

Every surgeon had to start somewhere, but where would that be? A new surgeon should be working for years with an experienced one. Once he is experienced enough to be out on his own, he isn't new anymore. Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
  24. A concern is the increased chances of blood clots after surgery, combined with restricted movement during long hours on the road. But, this isn't just a short term increased risk.. it will be for about 6 months. Talk to your doctor about this, and you might be put on blood thinners for the risky time. Compression legwear is a possibility too. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App

    Trouble with friends

It is easy to want to dump people that start treating you badly, but since you have to work with her, it is worthwhile to spend a bit of time trying to change the relationship into a functional one. First off, does she know you had surgery? What was your relationship like before? Can you think of the first time that things felt different between you?
