    VERY FRUSTRATED WITH SURGEONS OFFICE

This is crazy. How do you lose a chart. I sat in the waiting room over 2 hrs once and they were closing and the girl forgot to pull my chart so they didn't remember I was in their waiting room. But this wls journey has been the most stressful thing and crap like this only makes it harder.

    Insurance company

Sorry. Should've kept reading lol. Congrats. You look great. So happy for you.

    Insurance company

I have private insurance but it sounds like with your BMI and comorbidities you should qualify. The classes I go to talk about the different insurances and it sounds like it shouldn't be an issue.

    Struggling

I was approved back in March but kept going to meetings and weighing in just to keep myself accountable. Just think of it as a lifestyle change for the long haul, you can get back on track and keep going until you've had the surgery.
  7. That's a lot lost already, congrats. A little gain may come after adding food after a liquid diet for a week. I always go up then down when I get my period, that water weight. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

    Day 8 Optifast

If you stick to the diet, I'm sure you'll do fine. It sounds like you're doing everything right. I start mine May 15, my biggest fear is being hungry. It's funny really but many times at work I'd eat more during lunch worried that I might be hungry later, I guess thinking it would store in there for later lol.
  9. Flintstone chewable $6 and there's usually coupons out there. Cut some small spending to get vitamins. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Iron Transfusion

So sorry about your health right now. I hope things get better for you.
  12. Maybe you could find a tailor to have them taken in as you need them. May be a cheaper option to get use of them now and then.

    Struggling with the decision

Cold feet are normal as time goes by. Keep going through the routine, you can always change your mind later but if you change it back you don't want to start from square one again. If you're like most of us you've tried and maybe list weight but gained it again. You can have some wedding cake, most likely not an entire slice but the 2 bites that your body can tolerate will be fine when you look amazing in that dress and feel great and pain free dancing the evening away. I've been to a few support groups and they vary between 3 to 10 people any given month, but I still go. I'm scheduled for May 31 and I'm scared but excited at the same time, worried about the time off work and having a drain, but Looking forward to less arthritis pain. Like any other major decision, you need to look at your pros and cons. But imagine how you'll feel a year from now.

    Plastic Surgery in Mexico

I am having my RNY on May 31. I already know I'll need plastic surgery on my stomach. Do you know approximately how long I would need to be off work. I know it'll be a year or so before I'm at this stage but just song research ahead of time.

Loose Skin After Surgery At 20 Years Old

I was thin in high school then mid twenties 5th pregnancy went over 200# and haven't been able to get under since. I've tried it all. Thousands of dollars down the drain. I am so ready to have surgery, feel better, get more active and feel good again. Plan on finishing up grad school after my surgery is done and maybe saving up for some plastic surgery since my doc already told me I'll need a tummy tuck. Combo of older skin and already having an apron after all my babies. I still have alot of life to live. I've thought about approaching my daughter about surgery as an option as she's my size at 23 years old but I don't want to make her feel bad about herself. She's beautiful but already had back pain and knee pain. I'll wait until she sees my results then if it comes up we can talk about it. But I say go for it and live your life just be sure to commit to the lifestyle changes in your diet and activity.

What is most important to weight loss?

I was told to really watch the carbs. Cut out sugary soda and juices, eat fruits instead bc the fiber helps them to stabilize blood sugars and fill you up. I know I'm ready for surgery after 15 years of back and forth with my weight, I'm ready to try this tool. Also walking and weight training help, I read that weights will actually continue to burn calories for hours after the work out.

Weight Training Plans similar to Couch to 5K

I was on day one for a few weeks and over two months have progressed to week 2. I love it. I'm preoperative with asthma. So hoping to move along faster post op

Prepping for 10K and knee pain

If it's from osteoarthritis my doctor just gave me some info on gel injections to help nourish the list cartridge. I just got a steroid injection yesterday. But the gel can last a year or two.

    sleep apnea

I usually wake up around 4 am and take it off. But I was told if you wear it at least 4 hrs a night you will get some benefit.

    Levels of Exercise

Also there are fun ways to get your exercise in. Every summer my family goes kayaking, like the whole extended family lol. Some of us girls at work are looking into taking dance classes together (I can't dance), but I know it'll be fun. My mom has a pool with special foam weights and water exercises are easy on the joints and the resistance of the water is more effective in walking.
  24. My nutritionist said every do often there are people that get denied. Keep going through your classes or anything you are doing but ask your physician office to appeal it. They have a certain amount of time to file an appeal.

    Just need encouragement

I started in October and surgery date May 31. I look at it like yes is something I want done and over with but a few months more is small in comparison to a lifetime of change. I would just keep in touch with those girls in the office bc they probably have a stack of people's files and if you call them they may have to pull it up from the bottom to get to it which then moves things along faster. Crossing my fingers for you.
