    Have a reschedule date

I'd go to the office and request a copy of the medical clearance letter. My cardiologist have me mine and I gave it to my surgeon for my sleeve surgery. This is uncalled for. Sorry about your difficulty with this. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    all alone

I do know they had different instructions for diabetics as far as the risk of bs dropping etc and med adjustments. Your surgical team should instruct you on what to do and how often to check your bs. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    all alone

I just packed my cell phone and charger, chapstick, pony tail for my hair and my bipap machine. You're only there one or two days so you won't be showering. I didn't want to over complicate things by bringing too much. They had me where their slipper socks while I was there and hospital gown, you don't want to get bodily fluids on your own clothes anyway. I felt like poo and didn't even touch my cell phone until I was ready to leave anyway. Spent most of my time walking, and staring at the clock and trying to sip sip sip. And dozing off in between. Goal Weight Reached!

congrats. That scares me also but I've got a while before I need to worry about that yet. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. You may want to see a doctor to make sure the shortness of breath is related to weight verses something related to your heart or lungs. But definitely back to the basics should help and it sounds like the biggest issue would be the grazing. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Chicken wings and worry

I'm 3 weeks post op. I had three chicken wings today also was fine. But thought maybe a few bites of thin crust pizza. Oh no just a few bites and I'm in pain. I do believe eventually well be able to eat normally just lesser amounts. I just get like a stabbing sensation with some things yet. But I think with time it'll be better. 10. I'm going to check out that book. We just did the same thing cancelled all credit cards but when I go to a store that I had a card at I feel this little sadness that I can't just use my card. But I would really over spend when I had them. Maybe this book will help me cope. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I'm glad you posted this. I'm 3 weeks post op today and not very hungry yet but my nut told me I need to focus on meals and teaching my protein goal. Sometimes I'm taking nausea meds just to try to get something more in between meals. I certainly don't want my hair to fall out or lose muscle but I'm not a big meat eater, I was even vegetarian for a few years and an getting real sick of meat, the protein shakes seem too "milky". IDK. I think I just need a little more time to adjust. I'm afraid that whenI go for 6 wk appt she's going to be upset that I didn't meet my goals. I don't think I met these protein and fluid goals before surgery though either. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

I feel like its too soon!?

Just make sure to chew very thoroughly, and go slow that helps me and at the first sign of discomfort I stop. I fell likeI should be ave to eat more at this point but I'm not going to make myself sick trying to get it in. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Pre-Op

I'll tell you what I did. What I took to the hospital...bipap machine, pony tail, chapstick, phone and charger. What I wish I'd also brought... gas x strips. Puree foods I liked Greek yogurt, Wendy's chili and taco bell pintos and cheese. Make sure you have broth to thin out food going in the blender. I preferred the little 6 oz water bottles because they're easier to handle and won't get warm as quickly since you can only sip such a small amount at a time. I use regular spoons but know to just put a small amount on it. I was glad I only had to do pureed for one week. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    First Time Poster....

Good luck with your journey. I'll be 3 weeks post op tomorrow. I'm glad I had the sleeve. I regretted the first week, I had horrible sharp gas pain in my shoulder. I've felt a little better every day. There seems to be alot of informative info on this app. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. It's hard not to weigh yourself when it had almost become an obsession over the years. I have to physically tell myself not to get on that scale yet. I don't want to weigh myself frequently enough that there's no loss and get disappointed. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    NSV [emoji322][emoji322]

I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow and I like to lay on my back and feel this new little roll in my belly where it dips in from the weight loss. I'm weird but its a physical change that I can feel and know that it's a good change. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. I chose sleeve bc I was more nervous about the re-routing of my intestines being more invasive and dumping syndrome scares me. I'm three weeks tomorrow and happy with my choice. I've already lost 28# since the surgery. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Just got sleeved today

Unfortunately I had that for about a week. I found it was worse when I laid flat. Apply heat even if it doesn't take it away sometimes it helped a tad. Walk walk walk. That was the worst part for me. I slept propped up on the couch. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery day questions

    Surgery day questions

I had urine pregnancy test, got an IV put in with IV fluids, they gave me some cloths with a special soap and had me wash down from my breasts down my whole stomach(even though had to shower with special cleaner the night before and that morning). Then they did my blood pressure, I spoke with the anesthesiologist. Then waited. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I didn't have anything previously but had a sleeve on May 31. I was so bloated the first week and a half from the surgery. You'll need to let your body adjust a little after surgery there's allot of inflammation from surgery that causes your body to hold water initially. That's probably why you haven't seen a big loss yet. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Boob lift / Extra skin

My doctor told me prior to surgery that I will need skin removed from my belly. He told me every time I get irritation under there to go to my doctor and have it documented. That way when its time the insurance will cover it because it is out of medical necessity. They will not cover a tummy tuck though. If you're getting irritation under your breasts you may also be able to get a reduction but probably not a lift. It's all about cosmetic vs medical necessity worth the insurance companies. Honestly I'm hoping my won't be as bad bc I don't want surgery ever again lol. Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app
