May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
PAguy replied to Newme17's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi all, so recently my appetite has REALLY come back. I’ve noticed I can eat portions a little larger than what I have been eating the last year. I lost about 70lbs total since surgery and I’m struggling to lose the last 20. How is everyone else doing? -
I was sleeved in May. Pre-Op was in the 260’s also, but I am only down to 215. I guess I need to step up my game....
-
Hey guys, where is everyone at? I’m 8 months out and have been at a stall since the end of November. I am down to 215 from 275 and my goal is 180-185.

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. I’ve been at a stall since Nov 20th. My loss is slow because I was not that big to begin with, but I’m starting to get concerned because my hunger has returned. Just in the last few weeks, I have been finding myself hungry a lot more than I have been since surgery in May. I also have not been on the gym bandwagon as much as I should be. My goal is another 30lbs by 1 year and I feel like I’m not going to hit it. Anyone else having these types of issues? -
I was sleeved on May 17 and 3 months later I am down a total of 40lbs. I've only lost 5lbs in the last month and I'm not really sure if that's good or not? I weighed 265 at the time of surgery and I am 5,10. My goal weight is 180-185. Am I doing something wrong or is this right on track? Any suggestions would help a lot

Thanks so much! My journey has been good. The first week after was rough, but after that I've been feeling great. My problem is trying to get to the gym. I just don't have the energy to get there as much as I should. I know I need to make myself a priority, but that's easier said than done. I'm also worried because the Holiday season is right around the corner and I don't want to fall into a rut. -

Hey everyone! I just found this group. I was sleeved on 5/17. All together pre and post op im down almost 50lbs. I wish it was coming off faster, but I'm not working as hard as I should be. The gym is a struggle with work life. Anyway, it's great to read all your posts. -
Hi all, I slept wrong on my neck about a week ago and the soreness is really starting to bug me. I was sleeved in May and I'm wondering What type of over the counter pain medication is ok to take with my new sleeve? Tylenol just isn't cutting it right now.

Im 5"10, started at 265 and I was 250 after pre op diet and had surgery on 5/17. I'm at 225 now and my ultimate goal is 180 also. I've been on away on vacation for the last few weeks and I know I have not been eating the way I should be. Not that I'm complaining about vacation. Lol

Feeling so much better! 2 months post op and down 40lbs total.

I am in Bensalem which is north of Philadelphia. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and power walk for 30 min. I usually do about 2 miles. It's not a lot, but at least it's something. Since my surgery on 5/17 I am only down about 25lbs. 40 total since I started the 10 day pre liquid diet. I have been slacking though because I took 2 weeks of vacations to the beach this month. I think 17lbs if you have not been working out is great!

I am having the same issue. I know I'm not eating slow enough, but i often forget when I'm eating. I'm making changes, but it's still difficult to beak old habits. I'm down 40lbs since I was sleeved in May, so I guess I'm doing something right?

Anyone doing anything fun for Pride? I am sad I missed the march at DC pride, but I just wasn't up to it yet. We have a pride weekend in Philly this weekend and I am planning on going out. It will be weird though not drinking......

3 weeks post-op here and I am having a hard time not having something to drink after or when I eat. How bad is it to drink with meals? Sometimes food tastes salty or the seasoning sticks with me and I need water to wash the taste away. Why is it bad to drink with meals?

Hey guys, I am doing well. 3 weeks post op tomorrow and I am down almost 35lbs and I am at 231lbs now. Still trying to figure out how to eat properly, but so far I am very happy with the results. The first 2 weeks were really rough and I hope to NEVER have to go through that again. lol. 1 month until I go to Rehoboth Beach, DE with my friends for 4th of July week. I gotta put in a lot of work before then! Maybe i'll post some pics from the beach if my speedo looks good. hahaha

Hi everyone, I'm one week post op from the sleeve surgery and I feel awful! My first stage post-op was one week clear liquids only.... No protein, no vitamins, nothing! Just clear liquids. Needless to say I've been miserable since I got home. I'm lightheaded, dizzy, lethargic, irritable, etc. (my poor husband). Today I started stage 2 which is full liquids. I had 2 protein shakes, a yogurt shake and of course water. I was hoping I would feel better now that I'm getting nutrients again, but I still feel the same. To top it all off, I've had terrible diarrhea since I got home. I mean crampingly bad. My a** is legit sore from it. PLEASE tell me this gets better? I'm about to spiral out into a serious depression.

Day 5 post op - constant bathroom trips
PAguy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Wed 5/17 and ever since then I've had horrible bathroom trips. I feel like every time I get up to move around I make a trip to the bathroom. Is this normal? It's not just diarrhea, but sometimes just mucus. It's become somewhat painful whenever I go because of the spasms. Am I doing something wrong? -
Day 5 post op - constant bathroom trips

My first week post op is clear liquids only. So it's been water with Crystal lite pretty much since Friday. I'm having Broth for the first time tonight. I wonder if it's the crystal lite? Hmmmmm. Thanks! -
Thanks, I get sleeved tomorrow! I am excited and freaked out at the same time. Mostly because I have had a cold the last few days and it seems to have gone into my chest now. Hoping they still go through with it. Also, I did take some before pics. I can't wait until the after! I've already lost 15lbs from the 10 day liquid diet.
-
Well, all of my efforts paid off and I am finally getting sleeved next week. Wish me luck ;o)

Thanks!!!

Thanks guy. I did a lot of research on here today, and I think i am going to hire Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy to handle my case. I am sick and tired of dealing with my insurance company. Time to bring out the BIG GUNS!!! hahah

Ugh, Aetna denied me again. This is my 4th denial..... They want me to do the whole 90 day supervised thing diet over again. I feel like I need to go and hit something.
