To all the people who say "this is the easy way out." You are all full of crap! This has been hard for me. However, I would not change a thing. I am healthier. The results surpassed every diet and weight loss trick I tried over 5 years. It is a personal choice. There are risk. Make the decision for yourself. Your body your life! Cheers to your success!

Losing weight with no exercise
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to lola70's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It is just funny that so many people do not think exercise is important to long term physical and emotional health. Read the studies and make a choice. If you can walk a little more each day that alone can make a big difference. I am in the gym 5/7. When I have stress, I beat the heck out of the gym bag commonly referred to as "Bob." My life my way! -
Approaching my 5 Year Surgiversary, here's my update
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to NancyJC's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good for you! I am working forward after being sleeved over 2.5 years. I never reach my goal weight loss goal. However, I am healthier than ever. I still have 35 to 45 pounds left to lose. I workout 5 days a week at least. I will get to my weight loss goal by July. Keep moving and do not give up. You have support here. -
Starting over for me is hard. I was sleeved in late 2014 (age 44). I have lost 67 pounds as of 1/17/2017 that have stayed off. I need to lose 57 more pounds to be at my goal weight. I had a lot of things going on. I left me behind. I want to be healthy. For me that equals, working out, planning and recording meals and with no more excuses. This is hard. I am going to get it done. My last start over. I will get my goal as my health is vital. I am open to any suggestions positive . This is truly humbling.

The scale is moving down. My enourance is growing. I am going forward each day toward better health. It is a slow process. I am worth the time! I have 39 pounds until goal. My workout starting at 5:15 p.m cst (5 days a week). Hay long-term people heading towards goal, how is your progress this month?

The scale is still moving down 5 more pounds this week! Going forward feels so good. Happy to be at a better point in this journey! Sent from my KFFOWI using BariatricPal mobile app

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yes, I would do it again. However, it has not been everything I hoped for. At my age and body type it has taken a lot more work than I have read in any researched study or medical journal. I will be successful it is just taking longer that predicted. I really hate that most people believe "WLS" is the "easy way out." Nothing about this has been easy for me. I am still moving forward. -
Ladies, what do you consider your ideal dress size ?
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I can wear a "10" now. When I get to goal "4 or 6" that will the smallest ever. I always wanted to be a "10." Now what I want most is to be healthy with a normal BMI. A dress size alone is not a good indicator of "good health." -
How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Since I have been back on track, every morning. It helps me stay focused. I will move to weekly when I reach goal. If I miss a day, I don't freakout. -
NOT the easy way out...
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to bodyslmmn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is a total myth that this is easy. I am putting in a lot of work so that one day I will achieve my weight loss goals. Then there is the lifetime of staying fit and healthy. I love this life but it is not easy. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App -
New diagnosis
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to determined1LD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It appears that you have a diagnosis which could help your treatment and the possibility of long term success. Many of us are still working on understanding why we over eat. It is to your advantage to start counseling. You can start to understand your triggers, learn coping skills and create a support system. WLS could give you another tool as you move forward towards better health. Work with your healthcare team. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App -
How do you handle people asking questions
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to XmeghannstarX's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the experience of telling people at work. That for me sucked! Commets like, "you cheated, your are to small and how much more weight due you still want to lose." I moved to new state/job. They only see what I do and eat . Recent comments, "your are a workout Guru, you are doing great and you are getting so small." I will never tell people at work again. I will just do what is needed to get to my goal. I have 47 more pounds to lose. It is an individual's choice. -
devastating news has brought me to a screeching halt.
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to ella37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My sister/best friend died 4 months before my wls. I almost died a year and a few months after my surgery. The only reason I've got in this is far is constantly remembering the reason I did this to my body. I want to live a healthy, happy and long life. Take care of yourself Ella37 you are the only one who can. Good or bad there will always be a reason to eat. -
Just ate bread and butter..8 days post op
Mrs.ChangingTX replied to Hlatta's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How do you feel? I am not the perfect sleeved person. I will not judge you. At 8 days why pass out bread during dinner? Remember why you selected to have WLS? Brush off start over! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App -
That's great news! Hopefully it was the "reset" you needed and you can stick to the plan moving forward. For me it is a mental reset. No matter what life events occur, I have to remembered my goals and keep moving forward. I am important. It is okay to be a "small person." That term was driving me crazy. Now, I am ready to hear it again for life. Let us all get to our weight loss goals and beyond. Thanks! ???? Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

I lost 8 pounds on the "5 Day Pouch Diet." My sleeve works. I been in the gym and moving forward. It feels great. How is it everyone? We can get this done one day, bite and workout at a time. Keep the scale moving down! ???????? Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

Thanks you all. I am doing great following the "5 Day Pouch Test." Current, weight "197.5" this is day (4). My sleeve still works. I just want the scale to keep going down. Have a great sleeved weekend! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

My surgeon never told me to take Vitamins. I did read about them in the information that came from my dietitian pre-op. I moved out of state 1 1/2 years later. Although, his office never called after my first post-op appointment. My surgery went great. I had to take it from that point. Maybe because it was just before the holidays. I need to just put myself first. I often forget about what I need. I am better at taking care of others. I am just happy to have this tool and it still works! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

I suck at taking my Vitamins. My D is low. I need to get my prescription this weekend. Today, I am having carb withdrawal from this 5 Day Pouch Test. Lol But, I am not at all hungry. I even passed on my favorite cake at a work party. They do not know I am sleeved. They know that working out is part of my lifestyle. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

Coach just remember to stay grounded. You will receive a lot more attention. I know because it happen to me. It could get ugly. Prepare yourself for the new. The world can be very superficial. Congrats on your success. Sent from my LGMS428 using the BariatricPal App

Thank you. Yes. My goal weight is 147-150. I am 5'6" as this morning I am 200 starting weight 270. It kinda hurts to write that. However, let"s do this. I work out 5 days a week. I just need to get off the carbs. The last few months I starting drinking due to stress (weekends). That stopped as of last weekend. I am happy and see hope. Let us keep eachother accountable.
