You know actually I thought that was the case also.. because i have major hips, thighs and butt...:ohmy:!! and i still have to go on that dang liquid diet... Not much of a stomach at all... but other places are like...:tongue_smilie: but nevertheless I will do it because I want everything to go as smooth as possiable...

Well in my opinion... and it's just that... That if u are truly ready then u wont have to be primped or primed or wound up in order to get ready to loose weight u will just do it. It is hard as hell to do it.. but this is your body.. your money your time your effort... and u will let no one down but yourself. You have to dig deep inside and evaluate why u are actually getting this done. Are you trying to fit in? Trying to please others? or what. When you decide what u really want to do u will be like Nike and just do it....bottom line.. :tongue_smilie:

Well U will change. Once u really really feel good on the inside and the outside at the same time... ohhh baby wil u change. 1. U will get more attention from the opp. sex. 2. You will become more outgoing. 3. You will love and take care of yourself more so in other words... if he is already on the track that you are going to be on.. then there shouldn't be a problem but if he is not eating healthy he wont have a buddy in u to eat out late with anymore.. because your focus will change and your need for food will change also... That is what he is prob. afraid of....

You know that was one of the very reasons i stop telling people that I was going to get the procedure done. The one's that are telling u that people don't loose that much weight are prob. speaking of the ones that did not follow their Dr's instructions. The one's that are not getting the fills like they should. Those that are not working out. If u are dedicated to changing your life then don't let the loosers discourage you from doing that. Everyone act's like it is so easy to just pull away from the freekin table.. but why would u pull away if u are still hungry? The band is a tool and will assist u in doing what u want to do which is loose weight. U can do it. Just stop talking about it to the negative people and they will soon forget that u ever mentioned it. Take a look at one of the boards that hve the before and after pictures...and that proves that people do loose the weight.. and a lot of it...

Yes mam.... that is true.... It is mind over... If dont mind it wont matter...lol.. no seriously... thats cool... u can do it... Once I get my official approval i will have to do i guess a total of 14-days but if u subtract sat and sunday it is 10-days...lol but can do it.. just think about afterwards...

Wow that is amazing.... wow..... so u r 230lbs? wow.... that is really good.. It looks like u communicate well with your Dr.. and he or she is pretty smart as well...That is what My Dr. said that he will do adjust when i start to get hungry more often and when i can eat more than a cup of food at one time...

So u just have to do a 10-day diet... that's cool... and it's an out patient procedure?

Well hello there... I had to check the post to see if i had written it...lol.. I lost about 100+lbs with Adipex also and when i got prego of course I couldn't take it so i picked up most of the weight back up, but im getting back on the right track... Havent been banded yet. but I am learning a-lot from u all.... excellent on the weight loss.... That is fantastic.... how is your pain level and hunger level been:thumbup:

A friend of mine bought that same book and it has a lot of good info in there..... Its by the same people that make the other books for dummies right...

Hey Vicki, That is excellent info because I should be banded in a few weeks so I am starting now just like u said. Also I see u have lost a great deal of weight. Congrats on your success...

Well i have my fingers crossed for u... I hope u get that approval soon so u can emerge and become who u really are on the inside....

This is great information. Because there are so many people that gain weight to qualify to get the surgery. It's like applying for finicial aid. If u have a part time job making a little of nothing with not enough to survive it's still too much... But if you dont have a job and don't make anything u will get more.. but u live and sleep on a park bench... Crazy... but this is great info... People that r not that much over weight should not have to gain weight to have this procedure done.

U know what crap happens... If u get some fiber pills take them now or take some metimucil (sp) or some type of fiber it will push the crap out hopefully within 24 hrs or take a laxative... just this one time to make sure that your system dosent have that much waste...

You know I went to sort of the same thing. I was given mis-information as well. I was told that i would have to pay out of pocket for things that my insurance covered. They were sending me thru hoops that I did not have to go thru. I called my insurance company to find out if they wouild cover it and they said yes, however every place is diffrent there are places that will suck the life out of you and your insurance because they want as much money as they can get from you. I stopped going there after 2mths and then i said forget it, but then a friend of mine came across this place where u just have to have documentation that u were on a supervised diet for at least 6mths which i have a 8-year supervised history. lol.. but the other place as not interested in hearing that. They wanted me to start over to have everything on file with them. UHHHH hell no do u understand that when a person is tired they are tired and I don't have time to play with u people....so I'm just waiting on the new place that I am going to receive all of my paperwork which they have all but from 1 place and then they will call it in get an approvial and at that point i will be good to go. I would do check surgical centers in your area, because seeing all of those people were not necessary and u didn't even meet the person that would do the procedure. How sad.... Switch now before u r 3-4 mths into it... I would not trust people that keep changing the program, and then trust them to put u under and preform sugery on u...uhhhh no

well do u have a ppo or hmo.. because if u have a ppo u will not need a referal u can go anywhere that u would like to go to start the ball rolling... if u have a hmo u will have to get a referal from your primary Dr. so it will be approved by your insurance. Most times u will have to see a nutrnst. for at least 6mths that shows u have tried to eat right and can loose weight.. I did a google search for my area and just put in lap band in chicago and then diffrent places will come up. U can request for them to send u info and or to call...

well from what I have read is where ever u are banded should cover your fills for the first year or so... but when u are banded and go somewhere else. U will prob. have to pay out of pocket for your fill @ the Apt.

This is fantastic..... Thanks for posting this..... This explains why you should drink the liquids before and after... The less fat u have around your liver the better.. and the less u eat after the better you will prob. feel and the faster u will heal... excellent info... thanks again..

I will not miss 1. My thighs rubbing together. 2. Getting tired fast 3. Being ignored by really Hott guys.. That I would luv to notice me. 4. Not being able to ware a swimming suit. 5. Not being confident enough to wear my arms out. 6. Having to pull and tug at my clothes.

I would call the Dr's office and let them know and prehaps they can give u a fill before your scheduled apt.

Hi there im in Chicago as well and I am going to be banded at the WaterTower Surgicenter On Michigan Ave... They have a limo to come and pick u up from your home and the whole 9-yards... verry classy...lol..
