I know, I need to be grateful.

Thank you for sharing. I like what you had to say. I have been disappointed that I’ve only lost 100 pounds. But like you said, I could have never lost 100 pounds on my own. I know I have told you before but I love that profile picture and wish I knew who that plus size model is because I am in love with her.

4.5 Months – Eating Too Much?
Walter.Sobchak replied to ToughButFair's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 6 months out and for sure I can eat more than I could right after surgery. After surgery I could only consume about 6 ounces of food. Now I think it is closer to 10 ounces. I have also been making some poor dieting choices. Been trying to get back on track and get back to basics but it has been hard. I am down 100 pounds in 6 months, but have hit another stall and feeling sad about it. -
You will be fine. The first few weeks will be hard and then after a couple of months you will be fine. I am six months out and do not feel like I am being ripped off when it comes to eating. The food addict in me wants more, but the sleeve won’t let me.

Favorite things you can do now that you couldn't before, or things you're looking forward to doing?
Walter.Sobchak replied to GeekSweetheart's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Put on shoes and socks without dying. Wipe my azz without having to bend and contort into crazy positions. Stand for extended periods of time. Increased sex drive. Not having to question if a chair can support me. No shortness of breath. -
Scared thinking of canceling surgery
Walter.Sobchak replied to Sarahrosesb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Don’t do the band, it doesn’t seem to show the long term success rate. It’s a shame your family doesn’t want you to be healthy and happy. -
You should be scared. It is major life altering surgery. I was terrified going into surgery and guess what????? I came out fine with zero complications. All you have to do is show up. You will be put under and the rest is up to your surgical team.

OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE
Walter.Sobchak replied to RomAnca's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Pretty awesome. -
I hate getting an IV put in. I am real sure I would like this form of therapy. Then again ECT was pretty awful too.

I don’t think most of them do it intentionally. I think they post not realizing it is in the guys only room. I posted in the women’s only room once on accident. It was a thread on boobs and bra sizes and I made a comment trying to be funny and then I realized I shouldn’t be in that thread.

I heard ketamine makes you trip balls. Like severe tripping and totally high. How long did the improvement last? I would love to try Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation but can’t find a place around me that offers it.

Scale keeps bouncing. 204, 206, 203, 204, 207 OMG, 202, 204, 203.
Walter.Sobchak replied to Creekimp13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I used to call that “Fat Kid Denial” when you start to make excuses as to why the scale is going up. Or when you put on a shirt and it doesn’t fit and you say “Oh this must have shrunk” or you try one on at the store and it is too small and you say “oh this 4XL must run small in this brand” -

I am having the same issue. How far out are you? I am just over 6 months and the scale keeps bouncing. It goes down and then it goes up and then it goes down and then it goes up. I too am sick of it. -

Well saidblizair09 Did you have sleeve or bypass? I know you have had tremendous success. -

I am pretty sure my sleeve looks like the one on the right already. I swear my sleeve was never small enough to begin with. -
Hey....Spoiler Alert man. Just kidding, I wouldn’t have watched it anyway.

I had the same fear as you. I was afraid my liver would not shrink enough and my doctor would close the case as they say. I had to do a 3 week liver shrink diet as I was very overweight and already had fatty liver disease. I followed my surgeons guidelines and I was fine. My dietician told me the chances of the doctor actually getting inside and then closing the case without doing the surgery were very very slim. He said like 1 out of 1000 procedures. Hope this helps.

4 months post op pics
Walter.Sobchak replied to BlueEyedAngel28's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Looking good. Keep up the good work. -
I have had to have ECT treatments previously. That is shock therapy for depression. I am considering it again. The bad part is, it causes memory loss.
-
My depression has also worsened these last couple months. I was sleeved at the end of August and at first felt really good. January and February have been really bad, feeling totally depressed. Don’t have an answer for you, just wanted to let you know I am experiencing the same thing.

What's Your Bougie Size?
Walter.Sobchak replied to Dragon64's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgeon also uses the 40 bougie. No nausea after surgery and so far no acid reflux issues. I swear my sleeve is bigger than other patients however. -
Your hunger is very real, I was starving the morning after surgery. There is no easy solution, you have to follow your surgeons instructions. Just know, this too shall pass.

You are very welcome.

I Need Some Serious Help!

You need to watch it. Your stomach is still healing. You could cause damage to your staple line.
