Yeah, the preop diet was rough but at least I could eat real food. Two days of clear liquids has been rough. Like you said, I have my huge stomach that is used to eating a ton of food and clear liquids isn't cutting it. I have laid down alot today but I am home alone with my kids, so my napping is over. I was in the exact same position. My surgery is tomorrow morning, I had to do 3 weeks of liver shrink diet. I kept telling myself to go to my favorite Chinese buffet as well. I simply had to resist. I had to remind myself that I have eaten at Chinese buffets for the better part of 25 years, do I really need one last visit? I simply had to stay strong. I have wanted to get sleeved since early 2013. I had a series of delays, and actually started the journey early this year. Here we are, everything is done. All the hoops have been jumped through and insurance has approved me. Surgery is 3 days away and I am scared to death. I am getting cold feet and second guessing myself. Mostly out of fear. My wife was in horrible pain for about 72 hours after surgery, then it passed. I don't want to scare you, but she was crying and regretting her decision for about the entire 72 hours. Hello all, I am really stressed about my surgery not being approved yet. I can't stop worrying about it. The claim was submitted 14 days ago and it hasn't been approved yet. As you all know surgery is scheduled for 08-31-17. My wife keeps telling me to be patient, but I am really worried about it. I have already requested time off from work and made plans to get help with our kids. I don't know if I should call my insurance and ask what the problem is or what. My wife and I are doing this together. She was sleeved 8 weeks ago and I am set for 08-31-17 Hopefully you guys can convince your wives to see the long term benefits to being sleeved. She needs to understand that the chances of you having long term success and keeping the weight off without surgery are very slim. She needs to be supportive, that's bullsh*t that she is trying to talk you out of it. I am in week 2 of the 3 week liver shrink diet and I am going crazy.
