Walter.Sobchak replied to Walter.Sobchak's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Excellent point. I am a good man, a kind man, a good dad and a good husband. I am loved by my friends and family. I am doing the best I can, one day at a time. Thanks Allie -

4 Months and Down 80 pounds
Walter.Sobchak replied to Walter.Sobchak's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am thinking the same thing. When you need to lose 200 pounds, the first 100 might not be that noticeable. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and have been unable to to get motivated to do anything. With some recent medication changes and weight coming off, I am actually feeling semi motivated to go to the gym again. -

Thank you, I should add I haven’t exercised at all in those 4 months. No walking or anything. I need to start walking and lifting to try to get muscle mass back. -

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?

Welcome. The surgery is scary, but it will actually end up being the easy part. Life after surgery is incredibly difficult. You will see once you get there. -

You're not big enough for weight loss surgery" What do you say?
Walter.Sobchak replied to Creekimp13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wouldn’t worry about it. You are doing this for yourself, not to worry about someone else’s feelings. You have to live inside your body and not them. My psychologist always tells me, I cannot make anyone “feel” anything. People are responsible for their own feelings. If they are choosing to be insulted or offended that is on them, f**k them if they don’t understand your reasonings for choosing weight loss surgery. -

Dense Protein Idea----Salmon or Tuna Packets
Walter.Sobchak posted a topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Hello Peeps, I just wanted to put this out there for you guys. If you havent tried the StarKist tuna creations I would suggest them. They are only about $1 a packet and they are easy to grab and go. Only about 100 calories per packet and I can eat two packets and be very full. The salmon is also really good. a little more expensive but very convenient and filling. Just a thought. -

My new psychiatrist wants me to go organic. To see if it will help with my depression and anxiety. It sounds like a huge pain in my ass. -

DC or other who has a gastric balloon? How it going?
Walter.Sobchak replied to Julie J's topic in Gastric Balloon Forum
Well, this thread has been entirely hijacked and the OP's original question has barely been answered. There was a user on here that had the balloon here in the US and paid like 8000.00 out of pocket and literally had it in for like 5 days and had to get it taken out because she felt so terrible. I am not sure what happened to her as I do not see her on here anymore. Personally I would not want the balloon until there is more research about it. I would not want the balloon or the lap band. I feel like those options are for people that cannot fully commit to WLS. I was sleeved on 08-31-17 and it has been harder that I ever imagined it would be. The mental aspect of it is much worse than I anticipated. Other addictions have resurfaced now that I cannot abuse food any more. My wife and I both had it done and our relationship has really struggled we have been on the brink of divorce. I am down 80 pounds and she is down 100. Having said all that, I do not regret getting the VSG. -
Do you have take out/Fast food?
Walter.Sobchak replied to dreamingsmall's topic in Food and Nutrition
We really try not to, but it is hard with all the stress that life gives you. I want to get away from it, but these last few weeks we have probably had it twice a week. I only eat one mcdonalds burger instead of the 8 I used to eat before getting sleeved. Like others have said, I know they are better choices to be made but it is what it is. -
Do you mean cheated on my wife? Or cheated on my diet?

YAY! Was able to file for my STD/FMLA today
Walter.Sobchak replied to Krista27's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You had to file for an STD? I got one after a series of bad choices while drunk. Fortunately it was one of the ones you can cure. Hopefully yours isnt too bad. Just chlymidia or ghonorea and not life altering good luck.
