Not Tracking your food is a big mistake!

I find it really hard to track through using apps, because my portion sizes are sooo much smaller than the average portion size that the app pulls up.

    Lower back pain

I don't want to alarm you but I had very serious back pain about a week out. It felt similar to kidney stone pain. I went to the ER, and I thought I was overreacting. But I had formed a blood clot near my liver. I'm very glad I listened to my body. Listen to your you'll know when something is wrong. And if you even feel a hint something is wrong, get it checked. You won't regret being to cautious, but you would regret not being cautious enough.
  3. Just keep trying. I'm almost a month out and I still struggle every day and don't hit my goal every day. But every night I just vow to try try again the next day. It'll get better! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Excedrin migraine

Excedrin contains aspirin, which is considered an NSAID. Which can cause stomach ulcers and could also cause damage to your staple line. I would strongly recommend against it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Stomach gurgling?!

I just embraced my gurgle. I always mute the tv and my husband and I laugh about it. Sometimes I wiggle my top half and it feels like it helps to work the gurgles out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Mine was a strange pain, with my other surgeries it was like the pain slowly dissipated over the weeks but this one it's was like excruciating pain one day then I was sleeping on my stomach the next. It was like over night my pain vanished. Late at night after I full day I too would get that pulling pain but it was usually gone by morning. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had a particular issue with my largest incision. I have a lump underneath the skin and it's been much more sore than the others. My dr explained to me that specific incision was sewn from the inside out. There was much more damage to the surround tissue and muscle. I babied mine a little bit more and I'm feeling great, I was sleeve on 1/11/17 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Secret Surgery

I have told my family, my boyfriend, my few close friends and my co-workers. Luckily I work in a place where there is less than 10 employees. I felt like it would be to stressful to hide it. Everyone was accepting and curious. After talking about the "rules" for my new sleeve, one of my super thin co-workers said "I'd rather stay fat". Luckily, that's the worst I've gotten. I just decided to be unashamed! It's liberating. Now we all feel comfortable talking about it. I don't have to worry about what someone might say behind my back.
