1st actual meal 23 days POSt Op
TracieSue replied to Gucci's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We all start at different weights and have different goals. I agree with LipstickLady and I worry for her health. It also makes me sad that she would let her profession keep her in the chains of obesity! I worry for her mental health and self-image as well. I wish her the best of all life has to offer and the freedom to chose what makes her the happiest!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Mili- you can do this! I feel the joy in your words so spread that joy and it will always be with you and stay a reminder of where you want to be Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thank you for sharing, I knew you were out there! I knew I had to nip it in the bud from the start, so I'm glad to know someone understands! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Oh, gosh! I am so sorry and I know exactly how you feel because I don't want to go anywhere until I lose this weight!! My doc talked me out of the lapband after he heard how I struggled and failed every other diet. I thought Gastric Bypass sounded too extreme since I only had 60 pounds to lose, but I'm so glad I "went all out" for the big guns now as I can already feel the hungry monster gathering strength!! He won't have nearly as much fun now!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

ONE DAY AT A TIME, lovely lady! This journey is truly a blessing and an amazing tool, so embrace it and let it work with you to get where you want to be. Time to take care of yourself a bit so you can be there for your kids. And just think of all the good health lessons you can teach them so that maybe they can avoid being where you went! Take care of yourself always. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Keep moving- just walk around inside your house as it's better than nothing and will help you have a bm and heal quicker!! I can tell when I've been lying down too much! Try to sit up when it's not bedtime, though I did lay down and take a few naps because some nights I didn't sleep very well at first. Every day you will wake up feeling better, just focus on getting your liquids down and walking around as often as you can now!! Have fun with the new you and take care of yourself always! Surgery 11/21, not losing a lot of weight
TracieSue replied to krisrny's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Blessed618- I just had my first "normal" BM this morning and I am also 6 days post-op. The day after I passed dark blood from the surgery and it kinda freaked me out because it was so disgusting! Today it was a normal consistency but dark. I'm sorry to get so detailed but I'm telling you not to worry too much. I think our bodies pretty much know what to do and do it when they are ready. If you go a few more days you may notify your doc though. No one can stress that exercise enough though! I know it helped me get things moving down there as I could actually feel it working. Always listen to your body carefully, especially now that you're learning about your new tummy!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
1st actual meal 23 days POSt Op
TracieSue replied to Gucci's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 6 days post-op Gastric Bypass and that plate and the specific cocktail you named sounds amazing to me!!! I know it's the devil in angel clothes though because it's that same kind of plate and drink that made me an out of control food addict, and miserably overweight... I am reminded of why I have gone through this tremendously painful surgery and very expensive out of pocket expense when I see this plate and can't help but feel ashamed that I'm even slightly tempted. I'm not judging you, but please always remember why you had surgery. Remember how far you have come and what an absolute blessing you have been given with your new tool, and don't abuse it. I want you to be as successful as possible, and we all have our own demons we must confront, so stay strong on your path and don't give in to temptation!!! I don't see a problem with a few bites if you can stop there, as long as your doc says it's okay. Take care of yourself always! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
