  1. I'm 18 days post op and when I get up, I get light headed. No issues with water intake or protein. Does anyone experience this light headed feeling? It's so bad, that I need to grab something because I feel like I may fall. SW 372 CW 341 GW 260

Great job. I'm 10 days post op, and down 21 SW 372 GW 260
  6. Last Friday at 12:30pm I had my vsg procedure. Everything went smooth. I was walking within 30 minutes, and sipping Water. I was released around 6pm. The first evening was a bit painful from the gas, and I slept in a recliner. I was able to sip on more water. Day 2 similar in gas pain. Gas X and walking helped a lot. I have no issues getting 60 - 70 oz of liquids. I primarily drink water, but like the sugar free Popsicles, Jello and broth. My only issue now is lower back pain. I have an appointment with my pcp today, so I will inquire with her. I have no issues with getting in Protein. Right now I'm using EAS shakes (vanilla & chocolate), and typically in the morning I have a premier shake from Walmart. I like to start with premier because it has 30g of protein. I add GENEPRO Protein powder to broth, and have made up a blender concoction with it. My blender drink is ice, skim milk (3oz), genepro (tsp), and chocolate EAS shake. I am currently down 18lbs. This may sound like a lot, but my doctor didn't have the pre op diet. So I'm prepared for it to slow down soon. Height 6'7 SW 372 CW 354 GW 260 SW 372 GW 260
  7. My surgeon didn't require any pre op diet, except a light dinner the night before. Although I followed his instructions, I think it might have been better to do some sort of liquid diet. If nothing else, maybe it would help with the head hunger SW 372 GW 260
  8. Hello Everyone, I was sleeved on 2/10/17. I'm down 10lbs, and have no issues getting liquids down. Between Water, crystal light and Powerade zero I easily drink 60 - 80oz per day and no issues with Protein. This part has been easy, almost too easy. Initially the gas pains were difficult, but I was able to manage. Walking certainly helped, and I had zero issues walking. I started with a block, now I can walk 5 blocks with no issues. Last night I started to feel discomfort in my lower back. I didn’t think twice, but today, it's so severe, that I'm thinking about calling my doctor. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it still be the gas?

  13. Had my sleeve on Feb 10, and everything went well....Im almost thinking too easy, all but some gas pains. On the first day after the procedure, I was able to 64oz water, 3-4 oz of beef broth, and 4 sugar free Popsicles, plus did two significant walks Woke up this morning, feeling hungry. In 3 hours, I had one protein, EAS chocolate shake 11oz and 16oz of water.
  14. My surgery was at 1230pm today. Unfortunately, my single incision turned into two. The doctor says it was because of my height (6'7"). He did mention it could happen. I was released at 630pm, and now home in a lounger. The nurses advised me not to sleep on my back until the gas pressure is gone. The gas pressure certainly is still real thing. Surprisingly, liquids seem to be going down well. Granted small sips, but I drank 8oz of Water at hospital in 3 hours, and now 4oz in less than an hour. My surgeon didn't require a pre-op diet, except the day before the surgery. I put on a few pounds, but my SW 372 GW 260 Good luck to the rest of February sleevers. Let's do our journey together. Help need advice vsg single incision

I'm having what my doctor calls a mini sleeve using NOTES. Depending on your height one or two incisions. Most of the procedure is completed through natural openings. In this case, down through the throat. It's an outpatient procedure with minimal to no restrictions on movement. Although called mini, it still removes the same amount of stomach.
