how long does your bugg go before you need to replace the battery???

Hi Jennifer and Jamie. Welcome to the 20's thread. Jennifer how exciting to be so close to your potential band date. I still have a few hoops to jump through first. But I think its looking like July for me. Jamie 30lbs thats great! Keep up the good work! And youll find the right person for you when the time is right. Usually when your not looking I know that sounds cliche but Ive always found it to be true.

Thanks for sharing Marine. I know its crazy but one of my closest friends had the surgery and she suggests flapping your arms like a chicken to get the gas out. She also said she experienced no shoulder pains from gas like other people in her support group had who hadnt "flapped". Im hopefully joining you in the banded world shortly! Be well!

First let me apologise for not being on since friday. Im moving and its crazy and I had 2 doctors appointments and a support group meeting yesterday. Looks like Im on track for getting my band in July. Sorry I didnt get a chance to wish you luck before your surgery. I hope its going well for you and I cant wait to hear about how your journey is progressing. How long are you out of work for? Are you in any pain? How do you feel?

Yea! I can finally put up some loss. I hope its easier after getting banded. Hi Marine that must be so exciting! Getting banded on Tues! Gotta say Im a wee bit jealous. I cant wait to be banded. But Ive been researching the process for like 5 years so I guess waiting a few more months cant hurt. r u nervous at all? will u be keeping us posted???

Congrats!!! Thats pretty huge. I know I havent gotten there yet but my number thats hard for me to get under is 198. And I havent seen that in 5 years or so. Im at 268 now. So I feel your pain. You can do this and you will do this and youll be surprised at how easy it will be. Once again congrats!!!

Hey Chocolate. I want to say that I feel your pain. When I dated, and pathetically I used online dating services, instead of trying to meet people in real life, because I got to pretend for a little while that guys were interested in me for my mind or for who I was. When I met them in person they would offer either pity sex or ask for me to do things for them without being willing to return the favor. Im not sure which was worse. Or that I felt like that was the best I could get. Thank goodness for life intervening. Im now happily engaged. If it happened for me. I KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU!!! How brave are you to put yourself out there. You rock! Any guy would be the luckiest man on earth to get you! YOU ARE SEXY!

Hi Everyone. Im Jacki 27 from Western MA. Id say what town but no ones heard of it Im sure. I havent been banded yet but Im hoping for a date in June. Im so excited to see a thread on here for people around my age! All the people Ive met mid process so far are so much older than me, not that they arent all great people but its so nice talking to people your own age. :thumbdown: Im not married but Im engaged. Wedding date: 5/9/09. No kids. But 4 cats. Last weigh in was 4/20 and it was 267.7 BMI is like 54. Next weigh in on Tues. (Trying not to weigh myself in between) I meet my surgeon on the 20th as well. Very Excited!

hey everyone. im HOPING to get my band date in June. Like a little happy birthday present to me. Ill have a better idea after tues. Imeet with the surgeon for the first time and I have a 2nd appointment wit my nutritionist. i know i still have to take the post op nutrition class and test. but i already passed the psych. so heres hoping! hope ill be joining ur ranks soon. :thumbdown:

OMG! When I had my psych eval I didnt even try to be serious. Id already been to the office 2x that week once for an upper GI and once for an appointment with my nutritionist. So when i checked in for my appointment I smiled and said: "So if I come in one more time this week do I get a prize?" I didnt know that the Psychiatrist was right behind me. He laughed out loud and said "I like that!" He asked me a few questions during my appointment. Not as many as I thought about food, but hed already read my file and Id told all the other people in the office all that stuff. But the whole time I didnt even try to be serious. I just answered the way I would answer anyone asking me those questions. I laid my cards on the table and let him know what stuff bugged me and what I was over and done with. He told me that sometimes issues come up when the weight comes off and that he wasavailable anytime to talk to me. The he told me about the diet and why it was so high in protein. All this in 10 minutes. I had to stop him and say "hey dont u ave more questions to ask me like: 'do i count my steps?' and 'do i see thigns or hear voices etc?'" he said "nah hed already decided he was ok-ing me for surgery." the nhe told me this was all going to happen very fast and it was going to be very good for me. and that was it. i still have some stuff to accomplish before i get a surgery date, but i guess my point is that, relax i really dont think theyll find u unstable. they just want u to know that theyre aailable for u once/or if stuff starts coming up. do u really have to take a personality test or was he joking with u?

Fair Warning: if you put new skin on ur blisters itll sting like a b*@#$!

OMG! I have those same shoes from TJ Maxx and I love them! Sorry to hear about your blisters when I was in high school and ran cross country we used to put new skin on our heels before races to prevent them i use it whenever im breaking in new shoes...downer is it smells pretty horendous.
