I was sleeved on 1/6 and ever since then, I've had a severe sharp, stabbing pain in my left collarbone area. My doctor also repaired an inguinal hernia during my sleeve surgery. This pain is NOT the same as the gas pains, which came and are long gone. I talked to my Dr about this during my 1 week follow up and he said to keep an eye on it... but when I saw the nurse practitioner for my 1 month follow up she didn't seem too concerned about it.
I'm not having any shortness of breath or dizziness, my only other symptom relevant to this is that my left shoulder appears to be a little swollen. I took some of the painkillers I had left over from surgery (Percocet) and it didn't even touch it, but the muscle relaxer I am on for migraines (Soma) seems to make it feel better. Pressure also helps it.
Did anyone have this type of pain after surgery? Does anyone know what it is or could be? I've had 3 other laparoscopic surgeries prior to this and I have NEVER felt this before.
Thanks
Sidenote: went from a starting weight of 247.8lbs/surgery weight of 236.6lbs down to 218.6lbs I was hoping to have lost a little bit more by now, but I am happy with these numbers. I also cannot stand the taste of anything fatty or sugary and the only cravings I get are for vegetables. My endocrinologist also no longer considers me pre diabetic, my blood pressure is a bit better, and my migraines have decreased dramatically. Getting sleeved, in my honest opinion, has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
