I'm with Aetna , and my surgery this scheduled for May 8th. Aetna required a 3 month supervised diet with a NUT. I was encouraged to lose weight but it was not required. Aetna did require that I not gain any weight. Oh and I had to have a psych evaluation. I did not have to do a sleep study. It appears your doctor my have higher standards.

Ok, that's encouraging. I was trying to gage whether or not to have my husband stay home a couple of days with me. I'm turning 60 on the 27th, so I might need him to remind me to drink my water [emoji38]

I finally got approved for run! Now I'm dealing with the office staff...uggg!

Thank you the heads up, I will follow your advise. Do you mind letting me know how much the doctors fee is. Of course I didn't know I had a pay another fee up front other than the $200 already paid.

Oh my goodness, the same thing is happening to me. The office staff told me that they were sending my paperwork for approval the end of February. After calling Aetna, I found that never happened. When I called they told me that I missed the 2 he group nutrition class. Well nobody told me about that. So I'm scheduled for that on 3/22. Then they will send for the approval.

How was your experience there? I'm following that path, hopefully in April.

I agree with Berry78, low carb is the fastest way to go. Cravings will go away within 3 days. Hung in there!
