Hi everyone (Hi Dr. S!), I have not been on here is so so long, but wanted to check in and give an update. I had my TT and BL with Dr. S almost a year ago, and then I had my armlift done this past June with him. I am so happy that I am done with my plastic surgery (well, maybe my thighs, but I am going to wait a bit and enjoy the new bod!). I just got back from vacation in Mexico. It was my first vacation in 5 years, and my first time being in a public pool in 10 years. I was always so self-conscious about my size and then about the extra skin. It was only a one piece suit, but it was a great experience anyway (I don't think bikinis are in my future). I know this thread is to ask him a question and I don't mean to "hijack" it, but I just wanted to say hello to everyone who participates on this site because the information really helps all of us! I also wanted to say hi to my most favorite and talented doc in the world. Yes, that is you Dr. S! I will see you next week for my check up. Please don't be mad that I am tan, I know that it makes wrinkles, but that it what you are for, right?

It seems strange to get plastic surgery from a doctor that puts in band. Maybe it is just me...

I was banded in Queens by Dr. Merola. Dr. Schulman spoke to our support group a few times.

I know what everyone is going through trying to find a great plastic surgeon - so I want to share mine! If you are in NYC (or willing to travel), Matthew Schulman is great. He specializes in weight loss patients and has great credentials. I had a tummy tuck and my breasts done and am thrilled with the results. I am scheduled to go back in June for my arms. I originally found him because he spoke at my supprot group a year ago. I was impressed, so I did my research (is "googling" considered research?) and found more about him on ObesityHelp.com and his own website i(madisonavenueplasticsurgery.com). I don't think you will be disappointed.

Thanks for the welcome - I can't believe I only found this site today! I was banded in summer of 2006 and lost total of 95 pounds. I had my plastic surgery in Nov 2007 - I couldn't get that extra skin off me soon enough!
