Don't worry about not losing weight on the nutrition appointments. They are just looking for you to try dieting and see if it works for you. Almost EVERYBODY doing this has tried dieting but the insurance company wants you to do it anyway. They are mostly looking to make sure you can make an eating adjustment and stick with it. When I did my 6 visit nutritionist appointments I actually gained 12 pounds by the end of it. I'm days to surgery and this liquid diet you are too be on will make you lose weight. I've lost 27 pounds in two weeks of this. I'm looking forward to losing after the surgery. Just sick with exactly what they tell you to do and I don't see how they can decline the surgery. After all we are taking this step BECAUSE everything else has failed. With this tool for weight loss we have a fighting chance to succeed but it is still hard work. Good luck!

Interesting. I'm on sorta the same. Mine is liquid only (the same you described) but I have to drink 4 to 5 protein shakes a day and I can have sugar free popsicles. I need to have clear liquids only on the day before my surgery. I'm scheduled for June 9th.

You can only have clear liquids? Not even protein shakes?

You can probably call your insurance company and ask them to break it down for you. Every insurance company is different and there is no set price for the procedure so it would be in a case by case basis. Your insurance company would be the best bet to get that info. Your Dr office should be able to provide you with the total cost of the surgery but then it would be up to you too know your deductable ok Ed and find out how much you still be paying. I could be wrong about this but that is how mine worked.

Question? I've completed everything that was required and I am now scheduled for Pre Op

During my appointment it was any last questions that I might have for the surgeon and to have them explain to my understanding what was going to happen. We also discussed which procedure I was wanting and if that was the right choice for me and my lifestyle and what was expected of me from that point up until and after the surgery.
