Yea, I don't see the big deal either. But since I'm not even a full week post-op idk? I have been doing great. Held all my fluids down since day 1. I have sf coffee creamer and silk high protein milk. Has anyone else used any coffee creamer? Samsung Galaxy S7

I switched to decaf abt 3 weeks prior so I could "detox" ugh. My question is I too was sleeved 2/13 and I so badly want a cup of coffee but there is no way I can drink it black. Has anyone used just a tiny bit of sf creamer? Samsung Galaxy S7

I wonder why your page says NO slim fast or ensure? Hmmm? So I had to buy food from my Dr's office and a majority of it is disgusting. I've been kinda cheating and drinking an Ensure for breakfast or lunch the last few days because I just can't tolerate that gross food 3 meals a day. I have researched other diets online and none are as restrictive as the ones they're giving us Samsung Galaxy S7 How much sugar in Ensure? I drink premier protien. 1 gram sugar and 30 grams protien.Ensure High Protein is 19g protein and 4g sugar. Samsung Galaxy S7

And the point of the pre-op diet is to burn through your glycogen stores so that you start burning the fat on your liver instead (which your body won't do in the presence of sugar).It has 4g of sugar but the box of food I get from them some of those have 3 & 4g of sugar as well. Oh my I really hate to come to this page and be negative in anyway but I am feeling alot of anxiety this morn trying to figure out how I will make it through the next 3 weeks if I have to eat this pre-op food. I am not a picky kind of eater but this morn I am trying to eat apple & cinnamon oatmeal and kiwi-strawberry drink. I can barely get either past my nose and then the texture has made me gag twice. The drink is really thick. I just keep thinking I am paying $94 a week for food that I feel I can't even compare to actual food. I'm so stressed now ???? Samsung Galaxy S7

Found out ON MY OWN today that I am required to purchase food for my pre-op diet through my Dr office. $282 for 3 weeks and it's crap food. Literally packs of Soup, pudding and drinks. I am so upset that no one communicated this to me and expected me to show up at my appt tomro and fork over $282 with no communication before hand. I was told they explained that at my consult visit which was 7 months ago! I can't remember last week, much less June 2nd! Ugh... here goes a $900 grocery bill this month since I still have to feed the rest of my family ???? Samsung Galaxy S7

Hi all! Just checking in. I go for my EGD tomro at 12:30. Then to my lab testing/dietician appt on Thursday. I will start my 3 week liquid diet next Sunday. We are going out on Saturday to Benihana to Celebrate two of my children and my Birthday that I will miss during this next 8 week recovery b4 I'm reintroduced to actual food. I'm calling it the "last supper" lol. I absolutely love the idea of the smaller utensils and toddler sized plates. I plan on doing this as well. Good luck everyone Samsung Galaxy S7

Hi! I just had my Egd yesterday and it was smooth and quick! I to was nervous. They knocked me out for less than 15min. and I was discharged right after they unhooked my I.V. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using the BariatricPal App I'm so glad to hear it went smooth. I am also glad to hear that they put you under. They made no mention of that and from what I read they just give a sedative. When I was younger I had to have this procedure and I wigged out and 3 nurses held me down while they shoved the tube down my throat. It was horrible and a memory I still carry with me today ???? Anyone have the EGD before surgery? I go on Monday and I am a nervous wreck! I had to get one as a little girl and I will never forget that procedure ???? I am more nervous abt this procedure than I am the surgery. Did anyone demand to be put under? Samsung Galaxy S7

Got my date today! I am scheduled Feb 13th. I go for my EGD on Monday (prob more scared abt this than the surgery itself) and my consent/lab testing on the 19th. After that I will be strictly liquids! Time to stock up. Samsung Galaxy S7
