I am still hoping to be able to work next Monday after having the procedure Friday. I know it sounds optimistic but if it's not any worse than my gallbladder surgery I am hopeful Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App You need to adjust to your new eating requirements. Drinking Water is not easy the first days. I'm drinking a few sips every few minutes so I can drink all I need. Drinking my Protein shake takes half an hour, and even taking meds is time consuming. If you can't rush.Recovery is quite fast but bending and lifting is not a good thing to do in a while. You need someone to help you with all that. You may also feeling tired because of the los calorie intake. Pain meds make me feel sleepy too and I need one or two naps. If you have help at work and time to drink properly, you may just be fine. I'm a teacher and also work from home. I'm on vacation from the first till February 22 (and if I wasn't I would get a month paid leave). My surgery was last Tuesday and I plan to start working from home again tomorrow. I can rest if I need to and whenever I need to. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App

It may not be a good idea. You should wait about two weeks. Ask your surgeon though. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App

Don't do anything without consulting first. It may be fine, but it may be that you're still not ready for the next phase. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App -
I'm also in my first days. Day 4 today. Doing well. A bit of back pain because of laying on my back. I'm used to sleeping sideways but I have a drain and if I do so some fluids leak from the side of the thing and it's a mess. Almost no pain. I was discharged on day 2. Been walking and moving around the house. That helps Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App

Natah1987 replied to ItsTime4Change2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I won't find out the time until the day before the surgery. Hoping for early! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm asked to be there at 5:30 and surgery will be at 7. The earlier the better (because of the fast). Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App -

6 Month Diet before the surgery prep diet
Natah1987 replied to ItsTime4Change2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to go on a diet Android lose 10% of my starting weight for my surgery to be approved. They are a multidisciplinary team: surgeon, psychologist and nutricionist. The surgery won't take place until you've shown a radical change in your habits and a willingness to keep a healthy lifestyle for life. The surgery is just a tool, not the solution. I had 6 meals a day, every 2-3 hs. No sugar, no fat... Lots of veggies and fruit. No mixing carbs with meat. I never felt hungry with this. And I lost 15 kilos in 4 months. More than they asked for, but my surgery was approved and I've kept losing. Now I'm on a liquid diet and my vsg is scheduled for Jan 17. Oh! And you need to start doing exercise! Sometimes it's the anxiety making you believe you're hungry. Do you drink enough Water? That helps too Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App

Natah1987 replied to DreaMunoz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yay! We are surgery sisters!! Whatever u do, don't try Isopure Cookies and cream and strawberries n cream!! I have heard from a lot of recommendations for premier, plan to order some tonight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I am asked to get a specific brand called Prolac (I'm in Argentina). It comes in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors. I was advised to get vanilla. Also chocolate if I can buy two so I don't get tired too fast. We'll see. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using the BariatricPal App -
New to the group Bypass or Sleeve?
Natah1987 replied to Mrs.Tricey's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm from Argentina and I'll have a gastric sleeve. Here the surgeon chooses which surgery works best for each patient, it's not for us to choose though I'd have chosen the sleeve if I was asked, mainly because recovery seems to be fastest and complications less. -
