  2. First i would thank everyone on this forum for sharing their stories and i think it is my duty to share my story after the surgery. So let me start with i am foreigner so maybe my english is not perfect but as mentioned above i think i have to share my story! Lets start.. I am a low bmi(34) and i could not find an information about low bmi'ers success stories. My had my surgery on 24 of February 2017. I am 31 years old with a pear shape body( most of the fat are in my hips). Also , i had high cholesterol and blood pressure which was the final straw that make the surgery a must. I have tried different type of diet and exercise over the past 15 years with no success. The surgery went smoothly and i did not get any compliments. The first month is the most important if you want to be alive. After the first month the life will be easier. I have lost around 35 kilos over the past 6 months and i am maintaining the same weight(70 kilos) for a month(i think cause i increase the protein intake). My fat went from 34 to 17 and muscle decreased slightly from 39-34. Before the surgery i wear 38-40 w jeans now i can wear between 32-30. For the t shirts went from Large to small. After the first two months i return to my routine, trying to eat more protein and veggies along with exercising. Maybe the only issue i am having with the surgery is the low sugar, and i thinks it is caused by not eating enough food, which i think i am doing. Also i found my self eating protein/veggies/rice faster and easier than bread( specially burger bans) However, i wanted to ask about the portions, i think i eat a big portion in short time, Lets say i can eat a half chicken breast and 4 spoons of rice in less than hour, i am not sure id its ok or i have to change my eating behavior. Yeah , my eating behavior has been changed after the surgery i began to eat slowly and chew the food well. So i can summarize the above in points: - to have a successful surgery make sure your doctor taking this matter in a professional way, he should discuss why you need he surgery and why it is a must. He should understand your behavior and know your history. - make sure you follow the doctor instruction for the first month -try to adjust your eating behavior, if you love chocolate then have a protein bar chocolate flavor and so on. Thank you guys
  3. Well for me After 3 years working out on avg 5-4 days a week and following my macros with no improvement. Also, i found out that my bp is high and am only 30 and with a pre diabetic! Thats on the health side , on the other hand i found that i am young and i could not lose weight or fat on my hips I can't lose it when i become older! And the straw was really silly when i tear my jeans ! I really consider surgery as a solution for this disease that i have been struggling with over the past 20 years! 6. Hey, I don't know how to write an introduction , so ill just say whats in my mind. I have been on a diet since i was in the high school , my avg weight is 210 lbs and height 5.8ft. My body shape is killing me( pyramid shape), i wear L to M shirt with 38w jeans. I have been really considering the sleeve as an option to but me on the correct path and force me to lose weight! Basically, i have tried more than 4-6 diets ( ill write it down so it would be helpful for the people who are considering the surgery) I have tried south beach diet , low cal diet ,calculating the macro diet-iifym-, and high Protein low carb diet, over the past 17 years. However, my lowest was 188lb and highest 282. Current weight at 229. I am sick of gaining weight again and again. I do weight lifting and some HIIT cardio but still , if i went to vacation for 5 days or two weeks ill return to the previous weight! Having said that , currently i am considering the sleeve as an optimal solution and would help me to reduce the weight (hopefully to optimal). I write the questions down, 1) have any one with the pyramids shape lose the fat on that area? 2) what is the long term results specially with gaining/losing weight ( more than 10 years) Finally , hopefully what i write is clear since english is my second language.
