:D Hi, my name is KC and I'm a devoted wife and mom. I wanted to live healthier and I had waited long enough to make a lifelong change. I finally made that change on 1/8/2016 (wedding anniversary date too) when I went to my doctor and asked for a referral to have gastric sleeve surgery. I knew the process would be lengthy from what I had heard so I began my process early. By February 2016 my hubby and I joined the gym (he is a normie at 152 lbs) and I found a new love... I love the gym! I deeply love Zumba! This excited new habit transformed my life! (My hubby is a wonderful support person and he goes to the gym for weight-lifting mostly. It really helps the pain in his back and neck to light lift and stretch. Its very inspirational.) I hit a weight stall from August to October but I lost many inches in that time period.
 On Tuesday 10/4/2016 I had gastric sleeve surgery by Dr Patrick Coates in Modesto CA. Surgery went great but for some reason my body had other plans for me. I was not able to keep fluids down for 4 days after surgery. I vomited blood for days and they had to give me 2 blood transfusions. I was able to start holding down fluids on the evening of Friday 10/7 and then was discharged on Saturday 10/8/2016. My abdomen turned black and blue from left to right and the doctor said that was normal for whatever my body was going through. Well he was right and I'm fine. It took a few weeks for the black and blue to start going away but it finally all did. Now I have loose skin and less fat and I'm so much happier than I was.
Majority of my life has been trapped inside a larger body and it's nice to see a different side of me.
