3 hr car ride day after surgery
Amy N replied to Sophie2017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I live a little over 2 hours away from where my surgery was done. I stayed overnight and we went home the next morning. I slept most of the way and had no issues. I made sure to walk A LOT at the hospital, several times during the night, etc, so I did not have much pain after the surgery. I also put a pillow over my stomach and help pressure on it during the ride. Helps with the bumps. -
Struggling with the sleeve...normal?

I had the same issue with diarrhea for about 3 weeks post op. Everything seemed to level out after I was able to start eating regular foods. I do feel the air bubbles if I eat to fast or too much. It does eventually get easier. I am 6 months post opp and feel much better now. I still get the air bubble feeling if I eat or drink too fast so it is just adjusting to eat and drink slower. Hope this helps. -
I have the magic bullet and it is amazing for its price and size. I used it to puree foods and for making smoothies. For the price, I feel you can go wrong with the magic bullet. I also have a Ninja blending system that is fantastic but is more expensive.

Help have surgery date but want to hear from real people
Amy N replied to princessK23's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have lost 51 pounds in 3 months, which is actually a bit more than I expected honestly. I am sticking strictly to my diet plan and it is working very well. I have no regrets and do feel this was the best thing that I could have done for me. -
Help have surgery date but want to hear from real people

I was sleeved in December. I was off work for a week ( I have a desk job). I started back to the gym the week following, only doing light cardio. At 4 weeks my doctor released me for full workouts. I did not have much pain at all. I did not use pain medicines after I left the hospital. Make sure to walk as much as possible. It seemed to help me. I am now 3 months out and am feeling great. My energy level seems to go up and down, but I am a CPA and that could be due to tax season. We will see how that improved after April 15th. -
Congratulations! That is very exciting! I think it is a good decision on your part. Hopefully with the excess skin removed you will be able to move easier and it will help you get to your goal sooner. Good luck!

I had surgery on a Tuesday and went back to work the following Monday. I have a desk job as well. It wasn't the easiest to do, but is definitely possible. I made sure to get up and walk a lot and really didn't have any major issues. Was just tired and weak.

I will be 2 months post on the 27th. I am also in a stall at this point. I am trying to increase my calories some and see if that will help. Would love to hear some advice on this.

I actually lost 20 pounds in the first week. I was amazed and a little concerned. But everyone's body reacts differently. I slowed down considerably after that. I would say it is possible but not usual. Good luck!
