  1. A mini gastric bypass is a less invasive alternative to standard gastric bypass; but produces similar results. This procedure is performed laparoscopically, meaning the surgeon works through several small incisions and uses a tiny camera (called a laparoscope) and a television screen to guide special instruments through the incisions. I've lost a total of 64 lbs since 9/6/16 and feel good.

I felt good after three weeks. I was off for six weeks. I'm glad I did take the time. The hardest part was not the recovery pain, but the lifestyle adjustment to food and new eating habits. You need time to adjust to how your new diet will affect you. The extra weeks off for this was priceless. You will also need time to rest too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I had the MGB on 9/5/16. My weight pre-surgery was 245 lbs. to date, I am 186 lbs. this procedure was the best thing for me. My goal weight is 155 lbs. Starting off, the weight loss seemed slow, but that is better I'm told! My struggles have been mostly with eating enough, as I rarely want too. And, with meeting my daily Protein requirements. Since the surgery, my hair is shedding more. Anyone have any tips for this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
