    Stalled!!

And tbh they shouldn't be worried about cholesterol unless blood work shows they have high LDL and/or low HDL.

    Stalled!!

Cholesterol isn't inherently bad.. balance good cholesterol with bad. Other than that, you should pretty much have an idea already why you're stalling.

    Extremely Sad

Best of luck to you and my condolences.
  4. I cheated big time, and thanks to that, I was in better position for surgery than if I had kept trying to follow my idiot RD's imposed diet. Ensure whomever is recommending your diet actually does a plan you can follow.

    Anxiety meds

I've been on Cipralex (Escitalopram) for anxiety attacks due to sleep apnea. Has worked great for me thus far.

    Exercise

I'm like 6 weeks out and i haven't started intense exercise yet. I'll probably wait until a year or so after surgery, I'm planning on doing extensive hiking in the Sierras with a buddy of mine back in California. I also plan on getting a bike, if I can find practical ways of using it.

    stories

Stories from one individual are merely anecdotal. As far as anecdotal evidence goes, a more accurate presentation of surgery complications comes from health experts (doctors/surgeons/etc) who've performed surgeries, revisions, or dealt with post-op complications. With the slew of people you're bound to meet, ask questions and document answers to go back to in situations of anxiety. And the best evidence are studies where they either access large swaths of people by getting consent for their information, so direct studies, and/or accumulating non-personal data from doctors who input general data into a collective system for analysis. That's why before I had the surgery done I made sure to talk to as many people as I could (particularly specialists who've dealt with bariatric surgery scenarios and those with specific diseases/comorbidities that cater to their specialty) and ask as many questions as possible, read as many studies as possible to get a sense of what is normal, what to expect, what the clinical odds of things happening are.. so I would have a direct source of information that didn't come from internet gossip. I am a hypochondriac as well, and if I didn't keep myself away from these stories, I'd have gone nuts and likely affected my ability to get the surgery.

Dating in 2017, what is "dating" mean anyway? lol

Live life, be happy, if Mr. Right is there, he's there. If not, oh well.. at least you'd be enjoying life. If he comes along when you're 6 months out, he does. If your intent is a long term relationship, playing the games people do in the dating scene won't work anyways.
  9. For me rotisserie chicken goes down the easiest. More solid meats atm just fill me up instantly.

Should be okay for most veggies that far out.

    If it's God's will...

Obviously reading comprehension fails you too. How idiotic, and unsurprising.

    Protein powder

I used Beneprotein, was nice with no taste, most of the time.

Not sure if I have blown my chance....

Do you know if the nicotine/chemicals stay in the bloodstream for long? I've never smoked cigarettes but I'm interested.

On my own on surgery day.

    Great news.

I'm going to talk about my poop now.

I have this very issue as well.. most of mine are liquid-like. - Drinking a lot of water can cause it - Medications (3 of my medications cause loose stools) - Dietary changes - Insufficient fiber - Illness Since you're not going every few hours, I don't think it's really a huge issue of something that would cause dehydration like certain illnesses. Just mention it to a doctor when doing a follow-up.

Pain in my left leg after surgery

    Sounds painful.

What are you eating one month post-op

Beans, chicken (nuggets, rotisserie, etc.), burgers, unsalted peanuts, almonds, occasionally milk and fruit smoothies, chili, etc. More than anything else, drinking tons of water.

Psychiatric Considerations of the Massive Weight Loss Patient https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2700826/ Psychological Assessment of the Patient Undergoing Bariatric Surgery https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3096263/ And given all the other medical journals and science books written that they source their information from, it sure as hell does look like a real science to me. Blanket assertions with zero proof, though, is not scientific. And your subjective "logic" isn't science either.
