It's been two weeks since I got sleeved and I'm already noticing myself racking up calories throughout the day by grazing. What I'm eating is generally healthy (protein shakes, jello, peas, cottage cheese, tomato basil soup, Crystal Light) - none of what I eat isn't on the avoids list for me. It just seems I feel like I snack around more than I should. Have you all experienced this and how did you put an end to it because I know a sleeve reduces an intake... it's me who controls the frequency. Partial venting here. I know I need to change. Just looking for support! I'd like to think a few days of this hasn't undone the whole value or ambition of my procedure. Like today has been my highest day since I've had the surgery - 1028 calories (approximately from MFP). Yesterday was 967. The day before that was not so bad at 850. Tuesday was 922. The day before that was 654. So I guess I've just had a few days of higher than I'd like eating... still losing slowly! Just worried my old habits will come back! Honest constructive criticism welcome!

Hi there! I got my surgery done on 12/29 out of Texas Bariatric Specialists with Dr. Leah Dill, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Houston. If there are any other sleevers out there from the Lonestar state, hellooo! I'll probably look into my clinic for their support groups, but yeah if you're present, say hey!

Coming to you live from San Antonio, TX. Just saying hey because I know how it is with a big Mexican fam that like to eat big around the holidays. It's in our culture! Tamales, pastel de rosca, tacos galore, ooo elote. Will we ever be able to have èlote again? This is a hot topic for me Six days post op and would kill for some tacos de trompo. I'm looking forward to sliced of smoked salmon with light cream cheese once I hit the three week mark! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Agreed with the above comment. You're being flaked out on and getting the go around for what you've probably already paid for appts and stuff. This happened to me several years ago and it wasn't until I went to a different better clinic that things moved swiftly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Majority of rollercoasters, tight fits in airplane seats - had to use an extender one time - I was embarrassed, getting yelled a really mean thing while minding my own business on the street by these two a*****e frat guys, sick of not having more affordable clothing options, wanting to fit better in my moms small compact car, wanting to skydive but being over the weight limit, wanting to ride a hot air balloon but probably over the weight limit (not sure), wanting to feel healthier, beter about myself, etc. Reasons go on and on, one day I just said I'm ready. Contemplated wls for several years, went through the six month process once about three or four years ago and the doctors office I was going through flaked out on me but not the second time around this laster year! So glad I've had it done and have not regrets to date.

Yeah that's one thing I've come to terms with - if you can't finish it, save it for later! It's a good thing to have leftovers anyway.

I've been taking regular pills and gummies since I got out of the hospital. I mentioned it to the staff in what form they were in and they said it was no problem. So far so good! ????????♀️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Friction with my best friend
sasharbinx replied to gonefromhere's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow. So shallow. Sorry you've experienced this. Also I've noticed friendships fall apart when one has to be sober. Bonds get built over drinking and if that's out of the mix it just contributes even more on top of a shaky foundation if there ever even was a solid friendship. But on the other hand if it's genuine then you don't need to both be overweight or drinking either. You go glen coco! You help yourself though and if that's a problem for her tell her to kiss your healthier butt! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Pureed food stage
sasharbinx replied to HeidiSue2009's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mushy peas and carrots is agreeable for me during the puree phase. It seems to be holding up in my stomach alright. I've hurled previously mistakingly jumping the gun with a small bowl of pho (noodles, broth, soft tofu), those noodles went in and came running out of my system just the way they came. I'm happy to stick to purees if it means not hurting myself! Same thing happened with 2 oz of tuna salad that I think I ate a little too fast... I felt like bulimic person. Gross stuff. So yeah back to just mushy peas and carrots, peas and cottage cheese (not sorry if that's a weird combo, savory to me), and Protein shakes, Jello, broth, yogurt, popsicles, propel, crystal light. All stuff in my kitchen. -

Oddball here - dislike Premiere - Thoughts?
sasharbinx replied to tinytummy17's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I've been on premier Protein shakes for about three or four months. chocolate and vanilla are the only flavored available at my local costco. Both were ok preop but now I can only stand chocolate. Just ordered a 30 serving canister of GENEPRO though so I'll see how that goes Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
