Hi RLHgetsVSG! Congrats on your surgery! Yes,they do put you to sleep for the EGD. I went in to the surgery suite,was put to sleep,had procedure and in recovery in 20 minutes! I'm doing great! I had a lot of nausea at first but it has subsided and I'm doing better. I'm on puréed right now too and am having trouble drinking enough throughout the day but otherwise doing well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
