Thank you so much! I just got the money from my credit union today!! I'm sooo excited. I'm scheduled for surgery this Saturday with Dr. Aceves!! -
If you went to this surgeon, were you able to bring a support person? If so, was there an additional cost? Was that person able to stay with you in the hospital? Thanks in advance!!

Megan- Don't worry about the spinal tap. I've have MANY of them. I have Psuedotumor Cerebri- a condition that causes fluid to gather on my brain (because of my WEIGHT!) They give me spinal taps to remove the fluid. It's only a little uncomfortable, not even painful. These are done all the time. It's normal to be anxious. Try to relax. I didn't know they did spinal taps though... you will be fine. Hugs to you.!! -

Jilly-You'll be in my thoughts and prayers ALL night long as I lay awake hoping my credit union is giving me the $$ tomorrow to have my surgery on Sat. We'll be WLS BUDS!!! Good luck. Ahhh... VSG at Ft. Campbell KY MTF?

Yes. I called the bariatrics dept. Man that would be soooo cool! I'm calling again tomorrow. I'm scheduled with Dr. Aceves this Sat. Called my CU this morning and asked for 10k. She said she'd get back with me by COB but didn't. I'm sure she was just busy, but I'm on pins and needles nonetheless. If I could save myself $10k-that would be uhhh... FABULOUS! -
I've heard from several people that Ft. Campbell Army hospital is doing VSG. I called last week and the gent said they only do LB and RYN. Maybe they do and the guy didn't know what I was referring to? Does anyone know anything about this?

How did you stock your fridge/pantry with for post op?

For those of you Post Opers, I'm curious to know what you bought, ate the most of, found it easiest to eat, appealing etc.. after surgery. I'm having my procedure on 1/8 and want to go ahead and buy what I need to have at home before hand. Any ideas to share? Thanks!! Kimberly -

Cell Service and Internet in Mexico?

Hi everyone! If you had surgery in MX, did you have to get international calling on your cell? Also, did the hospital have wifi or could you use your laptop's wireless card?? Geez, I could never live in the mountains lol. No internet/cell access to me is frightening:) Thanks for the info!!
