    BCBSIL Insurance questions

Each is different, I had a 6 month supervised and initially hoped it were sooner, I am now great full as I have been able to get my mind and self really ready for this. Our life and old habits are gonna change, and the time allows for us to be really ready to make sure we will maintain. Now only two weeks away, the first 6 months flew, but feels like forever on the next 2! Good luck on your journey! Hope to read about your progress? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Almond Milk

My nut advised to go with soy or fat free milk as almond doesn't have any Vitamins. Felt it better to get them wherever I can, outside of the chewables Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    February 13 Sleeve 2 Be

Karma, I think you should be proud of your progress already. I also wouldsay that the surgery does not deserve the credit, but you that deserves the credit. This is not an easy process. Remember the commitments that you have already made, the lifestyle change you have been preparing for and the personal commitment to positively change your life! The surgery is simply another tool, to help you achieve these goals! Be confident and Celebrate your success! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    sodas

Stop the sodas as soon as you can. Have you tried the mio flavor additive for Water? They're pretty good, 0 calories, 0 sugar. Walmart also has its own similar brand for about $1.00. Love the tropical fruit or watermelon/strawberry. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    What to bring to hospital?

I'm bringing some gasx strips, hot Water bottle, and maybe a stomach binder (I saw a few posts that recommended, but gonna check with the doc too). Toothbrush and change of clothes should do it. I'll be interested to see other recommendations though. Good luck! We're almost there! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Frustrated

Nenna, I had the same thing happen to me, I met with my surgeon on the 3rd, they told me they sent it in on the 5th but didn't actually do it until last Friday! It's gonna be close but hoping to have the approval in the next week. Hang in there, we're almost there! Keep on top of the insurance to make sure they have it and maybe they might speed up the review/approval. When are you scheduled? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Weightloss before surgery

Portion size might be smaller, but make sure you are eating the right amounts, try reducing total daily carbs to <30g per day or ask your Nut for a daily allowance of Protein, carbs and sugar, as they know your specific situation. Don't worry, it will come off! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
