Nervous- getting sleeved in 3 days
sleevinpops replied to KG1985's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This may seem crazy, but my wife bought a few small jars of baby food (turkey, chicken, beef etc). 6grams of protein, 0sugar, 0 carbs and may be a perfect serving size for the new belly! Gonna clear with the Nur to be sure it's ok still. This would be in the purée stage of course...just planning ahead. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -

I haven't had the procedure yet (Feb,9th) and from all of the preparing and reading I have done, this is what concerns me most...putting the weight back on afterwards. I'm now joining a couple groups in apps like myfitnesspal, with others that are/have gone through this. Goal is to motivate and keep challenging one another. Feel free to join, you search in the add friends section using sleevinpops. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Would any of you be interested in setting up a group on myfitnesspal? I use it for nutrition and activity tracker, and think it may be useful to challenge and motivate each other through this process and journey. I can be found by my username Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I have to take the Vitamin D supplements as well. I also started the Biotin now as my Doc seemed to think it may help with hair loss down the road. To be honest, I think I'm gonna be shaving my head later anyways so not too concerned about that Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Final labs before surgery..... NICOTINE URINE TEST?
sleevinpops replied to RCN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should be fine, it takes about 3-5 weeks for nicotine to be out of the blood system, even less for urine test. You can google it as well to confirm. There will still be traces but nominal to that of an active smoker. Also, don't be vamping either, there is nicotine in most too. Good luck, YOU GOT THIS!
