    Shoulder pain

I have it at 7 weeks. Was just told it could be gallstones or could be eating too fast. They said it can be discussed at the 6 month checkup

    Protein shake

For me, they were way to sweet. But I managed by very small sips at a time. Now they are my on the go Breakfast for workday mornings.

    Pain when coughing and sneezing

I spoke too soon. Last night, getting into bed, I got a burning feeling on the lower right side of my belly. Sneezed this morning and there it was again. Even though the surgeon kind of blew it off, I still would like to know what it is.

Posting about fast food and unhealthy junk

My bad, I did not read the original post, only the response with the quote.

Perhaps she ws just seeing if anyone else has these cravings? To the OP, yes, I have the same feelings on occasion while passing an old hunt. Heck it has been 25 years since I quit smoking, and occasionally I get the craving when I smel a cigarette.

    Pain when coughing and sneezing

I still have the same (under 2 months post op) but not as bad as first. Surgeon said it is normal. It still makes me very nervous when I feel a sneeze coming on and I am overy cautious when getting into or out of bed. My physician at work said it could be some scarring / healing of internal stiching, and to not to baby it too much. But I still feel your pain :-)

What is wrong with literal overly sensitive assholes?

Excellent article and advice! There is nothing better than hearing it from someone with experience. I have a mentor who helped me with a lot of questions and concerns pre op and now post op. -Illegitimi non carborundum

    Anthem bcbs

It took BCBS FEP over a month to approve me. I think something got mixed up. But after approval my surgery was scheduled three weeks later!

    What Was The Final Straw

Tipped over to the diabetic side. Feet went numb, burned, and felt like pins sticking in them. Had hard time getting up and down stairs. Looking in the mirror. Had thought about the lap band and went to a seminar 15 years ago, but decided not to. Last year was thinking about how regular hygiene was getting difficult. So I googled " how do fat people cleanse themselves" and came across this url "http://thoughtcatalog.com/hok-leahcim/2014/06/23-obese-people-reveal-the-struggles-only-they-can-understand/" It was so sad, but true. Then I had to get checked by my gastro dr. for and EGD for GERD and a colonsocopy. He mentioned the Sleeve. I looked up sleeves at the Cleveland Clinic, an the next week they were having a seminar not too far from where I live. So I went to it and signed up to be a candidate. Right around that time my wife's best friend had just gotten sleeved and I asked her some questions. It REALLY helped having someone who went through it to bounce questions off of. My wife has been very supportive which really helps a lot.

    Lost my insurance POST OP

If needed, your PCP should be able to work with you. What do the people who had surgery in Mexico do? I am sure they do not have visits with their surgeon.
  11. See if you have any documentation of your weight over the last several years. If it is on record it should suffice, in my opinion. They had my PCP send all kinds of info, and I assume it had my weight for all the years I have been with my physician.

    Bowel movement problem

Do not take a sleeping pill and a laxative, believe me! You may wake up surprised. It is funny now, but it wasn't that morning at 3am :-)
  13. Anything new on this? I could not find anythng in the BCBS brochure if Vitamins were covered.
  14. I had them on the incisions also. One was there right after surgery and took 4 weeks to go down. Not sure what it they are, but the surgeon did not say anything, and my sister who is a nurse didn't think much of it.
