As for the Water you wouldn't be able to drink a glass of water fast. It's like a funnel, those first couple drips go in ok but then it starts to back up. Even a large gulp can make you burp a bunch haha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I'm wondering if people with hashimotos or hypothyroid lose weight slower, even if their thyroid isn't off? I finally got to 10 pounds loss at 2 week mark lots of Protein and Water, 10-11k steps a day. I'm stumped.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know this has been posted before but I really want to get the word out. I was approved yesterday for two Protein shakes a day, every day, for 11 months. How's that for some math!! Plus my Vitamins, scar reducer, l-glutamine!!! For free through insurance. Apply as soon as you have a date, it takes 2 weeks approval and then they send over for a prescription from your doctor and ship it off. http://www.insurenutrition.com that's it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I did it at day 5 and it was a huge mistake. I rapidly got worse and took forever to feel better. I really think I would have been further along if I hadn't. The walks outside, however, were great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Soup recommendations?

Bone broth is really good for you! As far as a little but if something warm, Trader Joe's has low sodium choices that are yummy. You could add some Greek yogurt to it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

If they don't give you a fridge, you can say you need to store medicine and they have to give it to you (it is our medicine right? I would get a small cooler you can keep in your bag, too. You can get 4oz disposable containers to pop a little something before your meal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Do you guys use spice? Like spicy hummus? During liquid could you have pepper? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Have you tried testing every day for a month? Maybe your day is just WAYYYYYYY different than 14....? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know you're excited but you probably are a little early, nutrition wise. BUT you can do a lot to get ready for when it's time. It took me 6 years to get pregnant and it was very very hard emotionally. First thing I would do is go on http://m.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ and get ovulation tests. Of course check on retailmenot.com for coupons. They always have great ones!! Find an app you love that tracks fertility and set it up. The app will give you an idea when you should be testing. The first month will be total guess. Usually you ovulate day 14-I ovulate day 18! That's a big difference when it comes to planning!! The ovulation test will let you know what day you ovulate. Now chart on your app (or pen and paper if you want) for the next four months. When you get the ok from the dr I highly recommend three things. First buy a big ol block of those cheap pregnancy tests from earlypregnancytest. Believe me you will test a stoopid amount haha!! I know it's expensive, but invest in pre-seed, which helps those little guys surf to where they need to be. Finally, if you can afford it, try acupuncture at a place that specializes in fertility. If anyone is reading this and is Austin, TX, Sage acupuncture is amazing. Look on Groupon for deals. I'd give it 3 times. The biggest thing, which is absolutely impossible, is to stay calm and not stress about it. I know. Impossible. I really wish you the best. I wish I had figured all this stuff earlier. It won't happen right away, so maybe start like 10-11 months and get the routine down. Good luck!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

We are sleeve twinsies Have you made goals yet? I went out a year with where I would like to be. I made them sensible and conservative but the ending is FABULOUS! I made them conservative enough that I should blast past them and feel great. Then when it gets hard I think yeah, but will I make my goals if I eat this? It also sounds AWFUL if you rip a stitch. Yuck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Ugh the worst! We would always use benefiber before surgery, but my nutritionist told me that those actually can bulk things even in the stomach and isn't a good choice after surgery. They say try ducolax or colace. But omg do NOT get liquid. There is literally nothing worst tasting in this world Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
