Someone posted that they were having problems with water and they switched to smart water, I haven't had my surgery yet so I don't know the difference but they said it was the only way they could drink water, I've seen smart water but don't know how smart it is lol, but thought it might help you. That's such a great job, I lost some weight about 2-3 years ago and out the surgery off because everyone was so against it, but I gained it all back and started the process all over again. I can't wait to see how many skinny clothes I can fit back into. Great job though! Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App

Are revisions REALLY necessary?
pvechiola replied to Babbs's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I completely agree, if you had the surgery once why on earth should the insurance company have to pay for it again!! I hate to be blunt but evidently you are not sticking with the program if you don't stay away from bad foods. My family is from Sicily and we eat pasta and I know my mom worries whenever we don't want to eat it, it was the hardest thing for me to do is to tell her I was dropping pasta from my diet, she says portion control is the answer and she's right and portion control is a problem but to get my life back on track I don't want to especially hurt moms feelings a little but I am determined to loose this weight. It is so true about Italian families they all revolve around food. Now she is pushing yogurt on me every second she's trying to feed me. I'm not sure what's harder learning how to eat properly or teaching my mom that I don't need to eat everything she buys me for my diet all in the same week. I hope this gets easier. Anyone else the waiting is killing them?
pvechiola replied to nandy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
This website is better than Face book no copying or pasting and no one knows I'm having this surgery except for a few friends and my immediate family, I can't wait. Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App -

Differentiating between fullness and hunger
pvechiola replied to White Sale's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The information says soft/pureed foods, I'm wondering can you use baby food jars for like bananas or applesauce? Do they allow that or what are you eating for the soft foods part? Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App -

Anyone getting sleeve but have 60lbs or less to loose?
pvechiola replied to Nel71's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for responding. I am very discplined with my eating and working out but as mentioned i have to extremely regimented to see any change and when i do it's so small. Tired of the yo yo. I definitely do not think this is the easy way out, i am using as a tool to help me do what i have been unable to do on my own. So when is your surgery?? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Hey there, I just had my 3rd nutrition class in Dec , so I'll be done in March with the classes, I've already had an EGD and a sleep study , no sleep apnea, my surgeon said I didn't have to get the colonoscopy, thank God! I have a support group meeting to attend and I have the papers for my psychiatrist to fill out I see her on Feb 1st, and I'm also done with the psychologist meetings until after surgery. Everything is getting done steadily crossing off every step. I have everything posted as they are in order to be done so it just seems that time flies by normally until you want to do something and then everything comes to a slow stand. pvechiola replied to Nel71's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 4'11" and I weigh 210 to 217 this is all I seem to be able to maintain, however I was 238 when I realized I just don't seem to lose for a while and just gain it back it's very depressing to go through. Is surgery the answer? No of course not but it's a tool that will help me quit going up and down, my Dr said to lose weight but he didn't say how much he just said to lose weight, I stopped eating at nite which was really hard because I never realized how much I ate late at night until I tried to stop. You are absolutely right staying morbidly obese for even one extra day is so depressing I have to keep my anxiety in check because I still have until about May to get a date. I postponed the program once and that was two years ago and now it's even more depressing because I could of been done with my surgery a while back and didn't. 3 month surgeaversery!
pvechiola replied to QueenOfTheTamazons's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
80 lbs in three months WOW, great job ! I can't wait to get to surgery, have about 3-4 more months of going thru hoops to get surgery so now I'm trying to SIP beverages which is harder than I thought, and chewing 20 times, and watching my Protein. I never thought my eating habits were so bad until my nutritionist showed me how to eat. Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App -
Family and friend rejection

They even refused to take me to the hospital so I have a best friend on standby, thank God for great friends, also his sister had the surgery and she did great . Family and friend rejection
pvechiola replied to logen000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My mom was so opposed to the surgery I decided not to have it, now after almost 2 years I still lose and gain the same 20-25 lbs all day everyday, I am back to my nutrition classes and have about four months to go. My mom is acting like she's going to disown me but she's my best friend and she's just scared and won't change her mind but I am not doing this for her and she isn't the one carrying around an extra 80 - 100 lbs every day. My surgery was yesterday... so much pain!
pvechiola replied to dayna2017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've had surgery before and yes the gas pain is bad especially when it's trapped in your upper back and shoulders but no pain will keep me from getting the surgery I'm 4'11" and have struggled with food ever since I quit doing drugs. I substituted food instead of drugs, and both will kill me if I don't have a drastic change and wls is the only tool that I believe will help me maintain my weight, I'm sober now going on 7 years, I've had a breast reduction which resulted in 8 lbs of weight being removed. That's the best thing I ever did for myself it helped me to be able to exercise because my chest was 42J now I'm a 42 D, and I am moving and grooving . I can mow the lawn and I am constantly looking for something to do outside and keep active. I know that the wls is going to be another step to handle but I am ready. Losing before surgery.
pvechiola replied to Elizabeth73's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was signed up for wls about 2 years ago and cancelled it because I lost about 50 lbs at one time but I also gain it back it's a mess, I joined up for wls again and I have about 3 nutritionist classes left. I had the sleep study done and it took 2 months just to get scheduled for the study. Hopefully I will be on my way in May. Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App
