Don't slam me for this question... I do bite back????
pvechiola replied to Dknal2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wouldn't even want to eat those just because I would be afraid of doing all this hard work just to have it gained it back. This is an opportunity to get back on track and I'm giving up everything that has to do with chips fried in oil, pork skins fried in oil, if it's not a meal with protein or on my list then I know not to bring back all those bad behaviors. I've worked to hard to undue the benefits that will come once I have my surgery. -
Very cool kid

I suffer from chronic constipation for years and I haven't even had surgery yet , I take dulcolax and sennoxen. I'm sure it will get worse when I have surgery but my body is used to the laxative so I am hoping I don't have any more constipation than I already have. I have tried all kinds of Fiber before and it never worked for me.

Phentermine AFTER surgery?!
pvechiola replied to doppelganger's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm using the phentermine to try to get my weight down for my surgery and it helps, don't criticize people for using medications unless you're in their shoes, everyone's story is different. -
Well tell everyone that you have arrived !!!

I just have to say I hope my results are as great as yours are, I have three more classes and I will be on top of my insurance like glue to keep them moving me along. I still can't get over how nice you look, it always seems like I'll never get there. But I'm damn sure gonna try !

I've only watched it on TV but I think I'd like it too, I like lifting weights but the indoor treadmill doesn't thrill me.

Wow, very inspiring, I am getting excited, you look so cute . I can't wait to start clothes shopping

2 months after surgery and I don't care about food anymore.
pvechiola replied to RussT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it's a great thing it gives you a chance to see how many things are out there to love that don't obsess about food. You're gonna have a blast. I can't wait until my date. -
Yes if it's your time it's your time she feels like its my fault if I die because I am putting myself in such a position that I can get it off without surgery.. it doesn't even matter anymore I have three more classes and it's off to approval time, I'm happy and healthy enough to know what's good for me, not anyone else but me. I've never had a surgery I elected to have and regretted it so I know this is going to happen and I've already started purchasing my pre op shakes, I pray to god I will like them, but I'm drinking them anyway.

WLS->gossip->Mom->explanation
pvechiola replied to mrsNilla's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have an Italian mother and she thinks the world revolves around her. When I ask her for advice about other things in general it's usually not a judgemental answer. Ever since I decided to have wls I have been telling her I am just going to the nutrition classes just to learn how to eat. I just don't ask, tell or discuss wls, I finally told her I was 55 and I have made my decision and I'm having the surgery. My surgeon is the Director of Metabolic surgery and has great credentials. My mom comes home with one horror story after another about people dying from this surgery. I finally told her that if I have to be so fat that I don't even want to look in a mirror, I would rather die than live like this. On top of all that she buys tons of coffee cakes, donuts, and candy which I don't even like any more, but if I make one box of chocolate no sugar added pudding then they all want what I am making. We had an argument about that and then she started on the dinner I made for her the previous night. Am I expecting too much or are they being ridiculous? I really feel that if I need to eat something sugar free I should be able to, am I wrong? Someone please explain to me what to do, I have til March to finish my last three classes and they are really making this alot harder than I think it should be. I have absolutely no support here but I am having this surgery and I'm sure it's what I need. -
It's like when you eat protein you just don't have such a craving for sweets
-
Thank you that's what I said

I wasn't meaning to sound negative I just wanted her to be sure she tried every other way because she is only 28, but I stand corrected because I was new to these forums and there is alot of younger women wanting this surgery. I was more or less thinking of how easy it was for me to lose weight at 28. Everyone's different, I didn't have a problem loosing weight. I quit doing drugs and after ten years I seem to know have a food addiction. So I definitely wasn't trying to come across to her as negative, because I know how it feels to have people put you down.
-
Yes I could easily get shot in Chicago quicker than getting this surgery. When I tell her to read up on it she wants nothing to do with it, she just wants me to change my mind and I'm almost done I'm not backing down. I even have a have a friend go to surgery with me she says she wants no part of it.

I Definitely Regret Surgery.... So Far!
pvechiola replied to jasleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So sorry you're sick hope you get better soon -
I'm having the sleeve but I'm going to talk to the Dr about also doing a rerouting of small intestines because I've heard it helps alot for people with chronic constipation, do you know if this is true?
-
I believe they can do the sleeve with the bypass just reroute the small intestines.

Don't let one cheat, cheat you out of the rest of the time you have left just dust yourself off and get back to it. You seem to be doing great!

pvechiola replied to KendraLynne's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've read that after the third day your cravings shouldn't be so bad , at least that's what I read. -
