Almost 5 weeks post op and just one HUGE question...
pvechiola replied to Coachthex32's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 4'11" and I look like I have a nine pound baby growing in me. I can't wait til I start to see results, anyone who thinks this is the easy way out is sadly mistaken. It takes dedication for six months of meetings with the nutritionist, support groups, blood work EKG, Endoscopy with biopsy and some need a sleep appear test and maybe even a colonoscopy. So if you think this is the easy way out think again. -

Maybe add half cup of cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, that's all I can think of now, maybe call the Dr. -
So great to hear someone say exactly what I am thinking, I have lost before and got down pretty good but I gained it all back. I'm probably having surgery in May sometime and you wrote exactly how I feel. I've saved all my skinny clothes because I can't wait to wear them . Life is great!

I'm having the same trouble with family members putting me down calling me fat ass, everytime there is two spoonfuls of ice-cream left they accuse me of eating it all. It's a constant pressure for me to keep my head together and try to get through all the prerequisites I need to for this surgery I've noticed as I get closer to my final class in March the more of a recluse I become. But no one is going to take my joy away from me getting this tool to help me lose weight. Good luck, don't let anyone get you down. -

If they have a few pounds to lose I would just look at them and say well, I could give in to temptation like you do but I am smart enough to ask the Dr's what I should do. We've always had chronic obesity, people who are heavy will come up with any reason why you shouldn't have the surgery but they will be so envious when you come walking into work with a hot classy new outfit. Who cares what they think!! -
Very great job,!! I love seeing before and after pics it is such an inspiration for me.

My whole family won't even talk to me about it. I've let them know I was doing it, and I just let their snide remarks roll off my back, my family won't even be going to the hospital when I have the surgery, quit letting your sister discouraged you because I feel if she gets you to eat enough bad foods you will start to doubt your decision, I think she's jealous and maybe overweight herself that could be why she's trying to sabotage you. My family does it every day for this last year because I was talking about it before I decided to do It. I've worked hard taking busses to and from the hospital for nutritionist classes and the tests , I have two more classes to go to and hoping to have my surgery in May. Good luck don't let anyone get in your way. Keep looking straight ahead.

Woke Up Today - Nasty Feeling
pvechiola replied to vsg11117's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The yellow stuff you threw up is bile produced by your pancreas the omeprazole will help and you shouldn't have that problem again as long as you take it every morning, I've had pancreatitis and I suffer from bad acid reflux and if the med doesn't work call your Dr. -
Usually from the anesthesia.
