Ready to have this thing out...

Don't quit. I was ready to quit by end of summer. I had not lost any weight over a four month period. But it was my fault. I wasn't eating alot, but I was having a couple of glasses of wine every night. I was not exercising either. I would walk on weekends, casually, but it wasn't enough. I got tough on myself. This fall I lknew I had to change, I began going to jazzercise classes four times a week, and going to lift weights (for toning) twice a week at the gym. I am happy to say that the weight is starting to melt off again. Along with the weight loss, I have more energy, ALOT more flexibility, less stress, and much more confidence. Yes, I'am very busy, I would rather go home after work than go to the gym or to jazzercise. I am also working on my masters program for my MBA with classes twice a week, countless hours of homework. There's always a million excuses why we don't take care of our own bodies. Everything and everybody takes priority over ourselves. Hang in there and let me know how you are doing. You have to take YOUR life in your own hands! Only you can do it. Not the doctor and not your family. Take care!
  3. I am so glad that someone brought up this subject. I thought I was really wierd because a week beforeI start I can eat so much food, but once I start I go back to normal. After 9 months I finally know what it is to feel true restriction since a fill three weeks ago, and now that I am ready to start I feel like it's gone away and I need another fill. Everytime I explain it to anyone they feel I should be tighter with more restriction. Thank You! I am so happy I am not by myself! I am praying though that I will go back to my restriction that I had a week ago!
  4. I usually have trouble in the morning with restriction so I do not eat when I first get up. I keep Atkins shakes in the fridge at work and when I get there at 8 the first thing I do is go to the fridge and put my lunch away and get out my shake. Does anyone have problems with scrambled eggs? I've tried them for dinner at night and they seem to give me the slimies.

    Vitamins

I buy the store brand "Memberse Mark" at Sam's of gummy vitamins. They taste just like the gummy candy, you'd never know the difference. I also keep them in the living room on the end table where I sit at night. It helps to remember them and I also look forward to them. It's quite a treat! :clap2:

    Is diet soda okay?

Thank you for all of your replies. I was never addicted to diet soda, it just makes a nice change. I too drink only water and iced tea. But, sometimes on a nice hot day, there's nothing like a bubbly glass of ice cold diet soda.
  7. Good Afternoon, I have a really stupid question. If you shake all the carbonation out of a diet soda, is it okay to drink it postband? I know I was told "no more diet soda", but I think it's the one thing I really, really miss. I used to have only one a day, but have not had any since surgery in December.

    Goodbye Lane Bryant! New NSV!!

Congratulations! I can't wait to experience that feeling and not have to shop in the plus size shops. I go into the stores you mentioned with my daughter and wish I could fit into those clothes. Right now I am downsizing to a 2X instead of my normal 3X and it feels great. I love to feel my shirts hanging off my necks and shoulders because they are getting too big and I love the sound of my stomach growling!

    Hot Dogs R No Longer

Hi I'll Succeed, I also love hotdogs. Growing up my favorite dinner was hot dogs (no bun) with mashed potatoes and stringbeans:hungry: . This past weekend we had a bonfire with lots of people over. We did the hot dog thing over the bonfire. I ate a couple of hotdogs, but, with no bread. Bread is the one thing I haven't even dared to test the Water on. It was just as good to dip the hot dog into the mustard without the bread. Of course, it was also nice to be wearing a very loose pair of pants that used to look like they were glued on me. It's been worth the trade off. I have had a very difficult time with chicken. That seems to be my PBer. Heads up and keep up the good work.:clap2: Cheryl

December Bandsters Can you help ?

I was banded on December 16 and have only lost 30 pounds. However, I have been getting fills from my surgeon every six weeks. I have just begun feeling some (little) restriction. I don't crave for food between meals. I don't have food on my mind every minute of the day anymore. I used to have all of my meals planned for the entire day because I was so worried about food. :hungry: Now you can actually see the shelves in my refridgerator (they're made of glass) and it actually has a light! No more food stuffed in there until it groans! I love the band, I love the band, I love the band! Even though I am loosing slow, I feel so much better! It's so nice walking around the stores and looking at things instead of running in, getting only what I need, and leaving because I am so out of breath or my knees are sore! Hang in there ljones, you're doing great! Let's do this together!

    Planter Faciitis

I was also bothered by that for years. You can go to your pcp and he will inject a shot of cortizone. It usually settles it down in a couple of days. However, you have the problem for a reason and you have to take care of it so that once it settles down you won't get it back. I have to make sure that I have really good arches in my shoes or it flares up, and there is nothing more painful that that. I cannot wear just any old flip-flops ( I could live in sandals year round if I didn't live in Maine). You have to look at your feet as a base like the foundation of a house. If you don't take care of your feet, your ankles, knees and hips can also pay the price. Hope this helps. Take care of yourself!
  12. I had my surgery on Friday and was sick from anethesia. I am still not feeling well. Has this happened to anyone? I can swallow with no problem, I do not have a very good appetite though because I am sick to my stomach and not really hungry. Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Liquid Phase

Hello everyone. This is my first post, although I have been peeking at posts for the past month. I was also banded on Friday, December 16. I have been experiencing such nausea. I think that it's a big cycle. I was sick from the anethesia, so I have had a hard time eating, and not eating is making me a little more sick to my stomach. Has anyone had that problem?
