Please calm your nerves. Your is adjusting to the new you. Just be patient!Adjusting is perfectly fine. I understand that. Where I'm irritated is the fact that my body is now gaining. My doctor can easily deny the surgery if I gain weight. So easy. So no, nerves are not going to be calm as this situation can easily cost me an opportunity to help better my health. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App We don't want you being denied! Have you tried the My Fitness Pal app? It can really help with monitoring your calories & physical activity. Yeah. I'm doing that and the Baritastic app Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Your response totally is bringing me to tears!! Lol! Ugh! It made so so much sense! You're most certainly right. I kept thinking about the weight loss and NOT about the fact that this is shrinking my liver. I get scared that because I'm gaining, that it's not actually shrinking my liver! I sure hope that's not the case. Mine is two weeks as well & I'm definitely following EVERYTHING to a T! Nothing is out of place. Stress levels have been very low because I've been home for the entirety of it aside from the bit where I exercise or just go for a leisurely walk. I'm just going to focus on the fact that it IS shrinking my liver. Again, just thank you so much!! You've definitely pulled me far far away from the edge. I know I personally like to follow African American VSGers to see scars and whatnot. Everyone is different, sure. But for most caucasians, their scars are almost non-existent. So seeing threads like this make it easier for people like myself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Surgery is NEXT MONDAY! What should I expect?!
TheRevisionedVagabond posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi! I'm getting sleeved NEXT FRIGGIN MONDAY and I'm very nervous and excited! I'm currently wondering what I should not only pack/bring, but also, what to expect once I wake up? I already know, everyone is different & it depends on a lot of different factors, however, I'm still wanting to know what to expect to get an idea & hear others experiences! Plus, it gives me something to read and look forward to while I continuously convince myself why I shouldn't cheat. (2 week pre-op diet & I haven't cheated) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Yeah I totally know what you mean by that! I keep telling myself it's all mental, but I'm REALLY regretting not having a "food funeral" I'm in week 2 of my 2 week pre-op diet & it's been very hard. I fear that I will regret it post surgery because not only will I not be able to eat "real" solid food, I can't eat much period. I keep saying "it will be easier" strictly because I shouldn't feel hungry post surgery. But I obviously don't know that because I'm not post surgery lol! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Not gonna lie! For me it was difficult knowing that I couldn't eat "real" food post-op even me NOT being hungry! But if your holding out during pre-op even with the temptation. You'll be fine during post-op! Once you start seeing that your shedding those pounds...food will be the last thing on your mind!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App That's seriously so motivating!! I'll definitely keep going. I literally told my husband that I'm just gonna use this frustration to better fuel my drive to get to my goal! ???? So friggin true! I'm happy to hear you regretted it. Not in like, a bad way? Hopefully it makes sense. Basically, I know I will. And just like you said, it'll push me farther from my goals. It would essentially feel like I'm starting over on Day 1. I'm really trying not to cheat. It's definitely hard. But just as you said? WE CAN DO IT! Congrats on being 3 weeks post op! Has it gotten any better since having the surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Oh definitely! You make a good point about eating a good share of food over the years. I'm gonna have to keep that in mind. I'm craving a Philly cheesesteak so so bad. But I've had plenty over the years. Not to mention, they aren't going anywhere lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Single Incision VSG?
TheRevisionedVagabond replied to TheRevisionedVagabond's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Raymia I'm thinking single incision as well. I had a bellybutton piercing that didn't heal too well. So to have 5 holes on my tummy after going through all of this?! I'm not about it. I was afraid to opt for it, but I feel, if he offers it, why not? It's the option I'd much rather have. -

Single Incision VSG?
TheRevisionedVagabond replied to TheRevisionedVagabond's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh, no. The single incision is also small. They go through your bellybutton or slightly above it.
