    I wished I had measured before so I could see but I'm sure I measure wrong anyway lol... Every single way of eating for weightloss contradicts another. And then it will change again at some stage lol..

  3. I started at around 84 kgs and now I'm 66 kgs since the 5th of dec
  4. I was a 31 BMI and I'm 13.5 weeks post op with 5 kgs to go I think I don't really know.. I haven't got a weight in mind that I want to be. I also had health issues which is why I needed this done. I really don't think I'll lose too much weight

    What's your eating like?.. I'm 13.5 weeks post op and stalled 3 weeks ago as well. I hate the friggan scales tbh. I eat a mostly keto diet and I'm only a few kgs from goal weight although I never had one before I think Ill make one up lol Increase your fat intake and really look at what carbs your eating they can make a huge difference. You want to tap into your fat stores and use that as an energy source and not inflate your insulin. Walk and weights u don't need to any full on bloody cardio as u will stress your body and make cortisol. Christ honestly who knows I feel like I'm a bloody expert and still I'm stuck as well lol
  6. I had a Hiatus hernia repair with the sleeve and minimizer ring fitted also. I had no clue I even had a hh until post op . Have had no issues really except if I forget to take my tablets for acids I get reflux which I never had before the sleeve but that could also be because my stomach is producing too much acid stilll due to the brain taking its sweet time telling my stomach it doesn't been to produce so much But the hiatus repair seems to be ok

    Wait till you start to eat normal again even at the purée stage ... you will soon know what full is lol I was thinking when I was on the liquid stage that I wasn't sleeved cause I had no real restriction at all.. I had no problems sculling water either. But solids is s different balll game

    Exercise

    I was walking most days from when I came out of hospital and at the gym by 2 weeks. Light weights followed with free squats etc I did what ever I was comfortable. I was told no heavy weights before 6 weeks.

    Weird hearing the name flip flops used as the term for thongs and vise versa I bet too lol
  11. Omg .... the pain So I had some mince although a lot drier then I thought with some steam veg. After I had finished the mince ( just) the feeling started... Pain down my oesophagus and into my chest in waves but still discomfort in between.. after 15 mins I had to force myself to vomit but no relief and again and again and again... whoaaaa what is happening here... it started to subside after around 45 mins maybe but after a little drink of water it's started again!!!! Jesus what the hell have I done???? Never had issues before ( 15 weeks post op sleeve) The discomfort and pain feels like it gets a little better then the wave comes again!!!.. help lol

    Hair loss after surgery?

    I haven't noticed any on myself yet being 15 weeks post op. My hair is short so I prob won't notice anyway. I was told don't waste my money on anything as it's gonna happen regardless lol

    Unfortunately I am the opposite we'll sort of. I felt the heat a lot before surgery and was told after when I lose the weight it will change.. ummmmm no it hasn't!!.. I still hate the summer and any temp over 25 deg celcius. I still perspire a lot as well It's a bugger

    How many gms of Carbs

    I only get my carbs from vegetables but I don't include potatoes , sweet potatoes, pumpkin, parsnips peas or corn. I stay clear of any wheat or grains or legumes as well. Any food that will spike my insulin I try to avoid like the plague. I can't remember what I try and keep it under. But I have increased my fats which is working great.

    I never ever do the low calorie dressing or low fat.. full fats are the best for you as long as its coconut oil or olive oil base. No canola or verge oil... and nooooo sugar

    I was told this 25 years ago when I had my c sections done it's very old stuff.. that's why you wear an oxygen thing on ya finger they don't do the finger nail thing anymore. They have come along way lol

    My pre-op diet is weird

    Fruit is one of the worst foods to try and get into ketosis !!!... I was allowed NO protein only my shakes or bars or desserts which were all vlcd and approved for fast weight loss although it was the liver I was shrinking. I was allowed unlimited (restricted) veggies as well... I have to say it's certainly a different approach he is taking

    LOW CARB vs LOW CALORIE

    I eat HFLC or high fat low carb and mediocre protein.. I do not eat breads , rice or pasta or anything that is wheat or rice based that included crackers etc. I have cut out most sugar although unfortunately some things contain sugar but I keep that very low. Anything that can possibly spike your insulin I try to avoid. Fat is awesome and will keep you full for longer. As an example my day would be ... Brekky - egg n spinach cooked in butter with added cheese 4 hours later Lunch - chicken crusted pizza with a dark leafy salad 4 hours later Arvo meal - tuna with cottage cheese and avocado Dinner - tonight is curry mince with broccoli n a little olive oil Some days I'll sneak in some peanut paste ( off a spoon) or cheese sticks or i have normally made protein slice which is sugar free , high fat and added protein I dont count calories but I try and get a rough idea more of interest really as to what calories I'm eating. Some days it's around 1200-1400. But rarely do I do that.. my NUT is ok with what I'm doing
