Wow.... That's not nice. If there is any consolation to you, my clinic changed my date 2 times b 4 my actual date was met. But I had not started my pre-op diet. What a bummer. So sorry Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  2. Eating Protein or eating period. Either way if it's bad you may need to contact your Doc. There's meds on the market for diarrhea. See what your Doc has to say Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  3. Yes.... just make sure you eat slow as to not overeat. Rule of thumb... eat your Protein first, veggie second, and starch last. Since that's a plate of protein with no carbs, eat any way your heart desire. Of course the salsa don't have protein nor carbs with only 5 cal per 2tbl spoons. When did your tastes change?

Taste changed right after surgery. I really just didn't know what to do. Couldn't drink Premier shakes anymore. Everything with a strong taste or smell had to go. I can't stand to smell toast cooking. No "garlic" oh my... my favorite season of all times. Not anymore to strong. Will my sence of smell/taste change back? Yes you are right.... definitely different. I was on liquids for 21 days. Everyone else 2 wks or less. I'm okay though, I know they just want to make sure I have no complications I'm 58 and doing great, down 30 and can't walk at the moment because of foot surgery. Sleeve vs Bypass

I initially asked for a gastric bypass. However, due to previous surgeries my Doc was concerned about scar tissue. Asked me if there was to much scar tissue would I settle for a sleeve? I told my Doc I was concern about my gerd getting worst do to a sleeve. He assured me that it would not because they've basically figured out why the sleeve was causing the gerd. So I awaken with the sleeve and no gerd. I'm happy I ended up with the sleeve. Statistic has it that the sleeve is the safest and least complicated than all other weight loss surgeries. That is probably why your surgeons friend said sleeve given your distance away. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App

    50 pounds in 6 months

There is no normal range. Everybody body responds differently. Some loose a lot of weight fast, and others loose the weight very slowly. Continue to work the sleeve the way you've been advised by your surgeon and you'll be successful. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
  20. Yes I had that problem..... I was sleeved. I think that's mostly from your stomach being swollen. As the days goes by it will change. I just stuck with the sipping slowly trying not to over fill. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App

    First Appointment!

I had no loops or hoops to jump through per my insurance. BCBS I was approved right away. I just needed to talk to my surgeon, phyc, and a nut However, my surgeon had me to do several things. From start to finish about 3 months. My first visit was very general weight, blood pressure, and temp and so on. Talked a lot to my surgeon. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App

Gastric sleeve post op please help

Several things.... I purchased a non flavored Protein powder and started making my own drinks from frozen yogurt and almond milk. Also, everything I eat has protein in it..... from meats to cheese to Beans, snow crab.... once the protein starts entering your system the muscle will rebuild. I can't walk at the moment because I had foot surgery, that would also help build my leg muscles. Try stretching with resistance bands. That should help your arms. Always check with you Doc first. Gastric sleeve post op please help

The only time I started bruising was when I was taking shot to prevent blood clots. My Doc took me off once I started seeing blood under my skin(bruise). I lost muscle in my legs, because I struggled with getting the "protein" in my last days on the liquid diet which lasted 21 days. Sent from my SM-J700P using the BariatricPal App
