I know exactly what you mean! I last posted in Jan and had to have 1cc taken out because I was having some problems. Well, I made it through that time and after two small fills, I am doing well-back at sweet spot but not quiet as restricted as I have been and would like to be. I have lost 113lbs, am almost at goal and I feel as if I am forced to face all the "stuff" that caused me to become so morbidly obese in the first place. I read about this part of the journey and it is not easy! I would rate it up there with "banster Hell". I have started journaling and considered finding a therapist to talk to. Going on the different threads here helps alot.

Hi Marty, Wanted to put it out publically that what you are feeling and doing is exactly what most of us have went through. Many of us have been successful but I do not know anyone who did not doubt their choice and hide when they were at their heaviest. I used to run the other way when I saw people I had not seen in a while and I never went to functions-ever. I even stayed home from family functions because I was so embarrassed. When I was first banded, I spent many nights frustrated to the point of tears. Banster Hell is the toughest time and depending on how aggressive your Dr will be, sometimes it takes a few fills to get restriction.You need to tell your Dr how you are feeling and ask him to be a bit aggressive. I did at the beginning and it worked. You will get there and you can do it! Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and give yourself the well deserved credit for getting the surgery and start believing in yourself! It takes time- like everything else. One day at a time. Keep reading and educating yourself. Know that we are all on your side and here for you. Good Luck Monday.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I did lose it quick but it was not always easy! I struggled with "banster hell" at the beginning but once I was restricted, the weight melted off. My whole mindset towards food seemed to change with restriction and I have never been so healthy and happy. You are doing great so far! Best of luck to everyone!

JennyT- You will get there -I promise. You are only out two months! I struggled too and then you get to the right fill level,you learn to follow the bandster rules, your emotional eating subsides and the weight drops off! Good Luck to everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

I have gone through just what you are several times throughout this journey and I just don't obsess with it. Try to not weigh yourself for a whole week and I bet you will see a pleasant surprise!

I, too, know exactly what you are going through. I have been too full 2x and I know there is a very fine point between being just right or overfull, at least for me. I, too, know I need a fill because I have the same exact things going on as you, not full, snacking, etc. It has been three months since my last fill which was very slight because of fear of being too full again. I have only lost 2lbs since my last fill but I am pretty much at goal(not really sure if I should lose more). I have an appt April 1 and I am a bit worried, too. I think, like me, you need to take it really easy and get only a slight fill. Do not let Dr. put in too much and try to hang out near the office for at least an hour after your fill. That is what I have to do. I have a 10cc band and will not get more than .3 put in at once. Good Luck! Let us know how you do.

Congradulations! I, too, have lost over 100 lbs. I was banded 8 months 14 days ago. Isn't it a great feeling, almost hard to believe. I never thought I could be in a size 12! Even in my teenage years, the smallest I ever was was a 14. I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!
