Having sleeve tomorrow .nervous

Sleeved 12/19/16 Weighed 208 Current 191 I woke up in recovery and couldn't stay awake so I had to stay there for a while longer then everyone else. So make sure to stay awake once you wake bc they may make u stay there longer instead of going into your private room. Walk as soon as the dr says to and walk every hr up and down the hall while u r there. TRUST me. I had no issues with gas pains bc I did. They will give u small cups to drink from. Start with a tiny sip then put the cup down. U can no longer take large amounts of anything into ur system. And I noticed that putting the cup or spoon down helps in slowing me down so I didn't feel that tightness and discomfort in my chest. They might give u a disgusting liquid to drink after surgery too. And if u r like me u may need 14-28 days of blood thinner shots twice a day that hurt like hell. For the liquid phase I made Soups and just strained them and drank the broth. It helped bc I liked them rather then the store bought broths. Hoped this run down helped. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I bought a mini ninja on Amazon for $19.99. It's easy to clean and gives me more options to eat. Especially since I still have to cook for my family and I don't want to cook two meals every day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Of course! And it's so easy. You just toss everything and and let it simmer. 1 pack of thin slices chicken cutlet ( family size) 1 tbsp of butter ( I used light) 2 tbsp of Dijon mustard 1 cup or more of white wine Sprinkle of parsley 1 lemon squeezed 2 packs of scallions chopped 1 chicken boullion I take the chicken with some of the sauce and purée it and it's amazing!!! The chicken really breaks apart easily. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I unfortunately caught bacterial bronchitis 7 days post op and was coughing up a storm. So much that two of my incisions started to bleed. I went to the dr and he said it was all a-ok. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Just take it slow. I have stairs too and it wasn't that bad at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I read that sometimes the stall is caused by not eating enough calories. Your body goes into starving mode if you don't eat 800 calories or something like that. I'm going to try to get more info but I figured I'd share so you can start looking into it too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

29 days post op - 191lbs I've been stuck at 191 for the past week and it's very frustrating. I'm also finding it very difficult to keep track of what IF I eat anything. I really thought I would be better at this but I'm so lost. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

29 days post op- 191lbs The learning curve is insane. I forget how much to put on the spoon and end up taking too much and then the stuck feeling or eating to fast.... Right now the mental part is the worst. Remembering how much I have to chew to get into the habit for when I'm finally on the solid stage. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Not me. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post and am having trouble with just the shake. I keep forgetting to eat. Like yesterday it was 2pm before I realized that I hadn't eaten or even drank my shake all day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
