And ate four pieces of Valentines Day candy. And I am pissed. My stomach hurts and I wish I didn't do it. I am pmsing like a monster and I just really wanted them. I enjoyed every bite, but I am angry with myself now. But I'm over it and it won't happen again. My question is... I get that no one is perfect and we will make mistakes and slip up occasionally. How do you deal? Accept it and move on? Do I allow myself ONE piece of candy when the urge gets insane (for me, that only when I am pmsing) so I don't go crazy? I was sleeved 12/21/16

I like that approach too, lol. Yeah, I could see it becoming an issue if I allow it too often -

Am I eating too much???
Merm12210 replied to Merm12210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone. I kind of freaked out because it seemed like a lot of food at once. I'm going to go back to measuring. -
So, I woke up pretty hungry this morning and decided I wanted something different than my normal scrambled egg. I made a toasted fiber one English muffin, one scrambled egg and one slice of low fat cheese. I made a breakfast sandwich out of it. I cut it in half and planned on eating a half. Well, I ate the whole thing. I could have stoped at half but it was delicious and I ate the rest. I am super full now. I don't feel sick, but I am very full. Could I h e stretched my sleeve? I am normally so good at measuring things out and I feel like I screwed up!

I was sleeved 12/21/16. There have been a couple of times that I ate a bite or two too much and I had hiccups and felt pretty lousy. This time I felt ok, just very full -
I have no issues getting in 2oz I usually eat almost 4oz in a sitting and I am 4 weeks out. I can have 3oz of chicken salad and 1oz of green Beans for lunch or dinner. What the heck? I have been eating around 800 cals a day, and I feel hungry quite often. I go for my follow up this Thursday. I have lots of questions. I feel way off track than many of the people on here. Well, Smooth Move Tea is NOT my friend.... I tried it for the first time last night before bed. Instead of smooth moves today, its more like spend your day in the bathroom. Ugh. Does this bathroom issue ever resolve?! It's either days without or all freaking day long. I'm only 3 weeks post op. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel??? So, I shoveled. I couldn't help it. We have a foot of freaking snow. I only did the walkway, and I was totally fine doing it. I had no pain, no problems... but now my stomach is killing me. My abs feel very crampy and I'm bit nauseous. I was sleeved 12/21, and I know we are supposed to not do anything ab involved for 6 weeks... but I really didn't think I was straining myself. Not sure what to do now or what to look for. How will I know if I actually hurt myself? I won't be doing that again for a while. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My Dr. And nutritionist said one cup a day as long as it doesn't bother me. I didn't give it up for my pre op diet or for post op. I stick to the one cup (literally 8 ounces) and mix it with a Protein shake. Double check with your dr, but it seems most are ok with it in moderation. Oh and I was sleeved the same day. I am going to a wedding tomorrow and I am kind of freaking out about what to eat. I am 2 weeks and 2 days out from surgery. I am currently eating purée foods, although I really don't purée anything. I eat eggs and chicken salad and mushy vegetables and cheese sticks. What the heck can I eat at a wedding?!?! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Wedding dinner advice...
Merm12210 replied to Merm12210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've just been walking so far. I cannot wait to get back to regularly working out. Yes, I do measure my food with a food scale. $12 on Amazon, and it gives me peace of mind. So I went to the wedding today. Had a very small amount of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and some filet mignon. I chewed the meat like crazy, and luckily is was fork tender so I had no issues. And it was nice to realize that even though I thought people would be watching me and criticizing why I am eating so little or cutting it so small, NO ONE cares! lol. I was so paranoid people would comment or judge, and no one even paid attention. It definitely put my mind at ease as far as eating out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

My pre op was two weeks. I have tried to stay away from soup because it doesn't seem to have enough Protein for me and I am just hungry after a little while. I can eat a whole egg though. For Breakfast I usually have one scrambled egg with some low fat cheese. And then an hour or two later, I'll have a shake. Then a few hours after that I will have chicken salad and maybe some green Beans, and the same for dinner. Sometimes I will have a low fat cheese stick. I'm getting pretty tired of eating the same stuff, lol. My next appt is the 19th, and depending on how I am doing...I will be cleared for all food. I chew everything like crazy, so I kind of feel like I can eat almost anything now anyway. I had a handful of walnuts the other day and felt fine. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Hi Sandee! Yeah, the whole diet thing freaks me out that it is SO different for each person. I'm still having a hard time with how much to eat as well. I've been sticking to my sample menu and that has helped. The sample menu says 2oz of lean Protein and 1oz puréed veg 3 x a day with two Protein shakes for Snacks. I normally skip the second shake though or I feel yucky. I'm eating average of 650 cals a day and around 80-90 grams of protein. Since pre op diet I have lost 30lbs.... since surgery, I have lost 11. Thanks everyone. I got myself all worked up over it and my husband said the same things you guys did... it just boggles my mind how everyone has such different eating plans from their docs and nuts. I was sleeved 12/21/16, and on purées the next day! I am on purees until my next appt on the 19th, and from then on I can have whatever is tolerated. It's so crazy to me that all the plans are so different. I feel so focused and obsessive about food since the surgery... I guess that's normal though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hi. I had my surgery on 12/21/16. I'm feeling pretty ok. Not great, but better every day. But since surgery, I am SO emotional. I cry at the drop of a hat. Everyday. What is that all about?! It's becoming overwhelming. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
