Hi @@nicktol can you tell me what you eat that adds up 600 calories? Im a week out, on clear liquid diet, and im worried that i dont eat any calories at all.. Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App Well, I'm on a full liquid diet. So I drink Protein shakes, Soup, kefir, and popsicles. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I don't really have trouble either, but I'm still at a liquid stage. And when I add up my calories they're always at 600 or so, and I feel pretty satisfied around there. Check how many calories you're taking in. Im sure not enough to worry about. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well! I had my surgery yesterday in Tijuana at the OCC with Dr. Ariel Ortiz. It went well. Moderate pain and discomfort. But they were on top of the meds, that helped a lot. Great caring staff. Great nutritionist. Lots of attention. Netflix in the room to watch. Then some sleeping meds and a good nights rest. The discharge the next morning was about 7am. Picked up my perception meds and instructions from the receptionist. Now back in my hotel room for recovery. Feeling better the second day. I can drink fluids ok with minor discomfort/ spasms ( cold beverages work best for me). I do feel like I did 300 sit-ups. A little difficult getting in and out of bed. And a few bouts of nausea. Tomorrow is the barium swallow, sight seeing and hanging out with the other vsg patients. Great experience. So far so good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Odd question but I've wanted to put my app in for a flight attendant, however I was told that 1) being larger, I wouldn't get past the interview, and 2) because I have visible tattoos (though tasteful), I didn't have a chance either. Best of luck on your surgery and recovery! Sent from my iPhone Well. I think the main concern is whether you can fit into the restraints on a flight attendant jump seat. Also it's a very physical job. If you can fit the restraints and you can lift and push and bend with ease. Then you can do the job. They can't discriminate against weight unless it compromises safety or service. As for tattoos... you can choose to not tell them when they ask, ( and they will ask). And you'll just have to always wear pants.. or long sleeves... I say just go for it. "Nothing beats a failure but a try.." <- my mother says that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I think it'll be fine. I'm a flight attendant and I plan on going back to work after week 3 -Jan 29th, (or that's the plan ) But I suppose only your doctor can say for sure... But I'll let you know how it goes! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm having a sleeve surgery With Dr. Ariel Ortiz in Tijuana on Jan. 9th. Has anyone used this surgeon? Has anyone returned to him or another surgeon for post op appointments in Mexico? If your post op is in the states, what do you tell your primary care doctor? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
