  1. Hi there everyone! This is my first post here. I've lurked for a while hoping to find someone that's having the same issue as I am, but I hadn't quite seen anyone with my problem (or I'm just blind which is also possible), so I decided to post despite being really shy about forum posting in general. Please go easy on me. :> I had RNY on December 19th. I feel like all of the weight I lost was within the first two weeks, then it just completely stopped. My starting weight was 317, and more than 2 months later I'm only at 291. When I read about most people starting at a lower weight than me yet still dropping way more than I have by now, it's discouraging as hell and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It's embarrassing when my whole family knows I've done this and every time they see me, they're expecting me to have lost more weight, but nothing changes. What's going on? Why am I not having any success like everyone else on here? I thought it might be due to having PCOS, which is why I couldn't lose weight to begin with, but I've also seen many of you able to still drop the weight despite having PCOS. It could also be due to not exercising every day, but I find that I'm so drained of energy on the daily that I can't even bring myself to do it most of the time. I just kind of feel like I went through this whole chaotic process only to lose 26 pounds and that's making me understandably upset. I just keep being told that "the weight will come off, everyone loses differently," but when people go into this surgery starting at around 250 pounds and they've already dropped 40+ by now, I have to wonder where I'm going wrong. I'd appreciate any sort of help at this point. Thank you!
