I have not seen a NUT since my surgery... help!
360lyMe replied to ChattyPatty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should still be on soft foods 5 weeks post op. Definitely stay away from bread for as long as you can. It is a "gateway carb" and will stall your progress. At 6 weeks my NUT said I could start introducing solid foods into my diet, and depending how it goes, I can be back to regular food by 8 weeks post op. I was sleeved on 3/1. -
Can't keep anything down besides water!
360lyMe replied to Techeliza's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow will be 5 weeks post op for me. Although I didn't vomit, I would get sick from drinking too fast trying to make sure I got all of my protein and fluids in for the day. Make sure you are not trying to rush to get everything in. Try to start drinking early in the morning and take your time throughout the day. It will get better. -
This happened to me after 2 weeks. I just came out of a two week stall today. Try to increase your protein a little.

Healthy beverages besides water.

Water with crystal light, coconut water. Sports drinks tend to be high in Sugar and sodium. Water really is the best option. -
It happened to me the 1st time I tried mushy food. I believe that I ate too much and too fast. I've been fine since.

Menstrual differences after being sleeved????
360lyMe replied to Amethyst Acinom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on March 1st. My cycle came right on time on the 15th, and I had the worst cramps that I've had in years and very heavy. It didn't last any longer than my normal 3 days, though. -
Surgery was a little over 2 weeks ago

I was sleeved on 3/1. I lost 15 lbs on 2 week pre-op diet and 15 lbs post op. The scale hasn't moved all week, but I'm down 2 sizes. I'm not going to stress myself and decided to weigh myself once a week. -
Post op clear liquids

Call your doctor now. You'll never get a call back if you don't place the call. I couldn't tolerate any powder, but I do fine with the ready made Premier Protein shakes. I was sleeved on 3/1 and have been drinking 2 a day with no problem since 3/2. -
Yes. Give it a week.

I was sleeved on 3/1. It took about a week for most of the soreness in my abdomen (right side) to go away. Try walking and moving as much as you can. It helps.

My surgery was on March 1st. That is the only pain that I am experiencing. It is the worst! It hurts to turn over in bed, sir, stand, cough, sneeze and laugh. I hope it subsides soon.

My surgery was on March 1st and I only had to stay overnight. I vomited three times right after the doctor said that I could be discharged. Since I had nothing in my stomach, it was more of a dry heave, but it hurt so much. I thought I busted something! The nurses and doctor said it was normal and that everything was ok. I haven't vomited since, but I do get nauseous in the morning if I have protein before having water or if I sit up too fast. I am prescribed a dissolvable tablet every 4-6hours as needed, but I usually only needed it once in the morning.

I'm on day 7 and have lost 14.8 lbs.

My interview was like a general conversation. We talked about what I've done/am doing to prepare for this life change, what got me to this point, my weight and diet history, eating habits, and my support system. It lasted about 45min-1hr.
