Hi, i was taking pills the second day.
-
I’ve been taking Pepcid and it has been a life saver!! Hope you find relief. I’ll try it, thanks for the tip! Do you take nexium too?
-
I too have been having increased heartburn. I’ve been keeping tums by my bedside. I’m on day 23 and heart burn has become worse, I’m wondering if I can take nexium twice a day? Have to ask my doctor. But I would keep the tums close by. Good luck. Hope you feel better.

Sounds like your doing great! Unlike you I couldn’t tolerate anything with artificial sweeteners nor anything dairy, but that has passed thankfully. I hope you get that tube removal once less thing to worry about. Can I ask you how did you you get your little runner track, I have been unable to get this? Keep up the good work! -

Hello to revision from lapband to sleevers. I’m 22 days out and just wondering how everyone is doing. I’m having a lot of heartburn no matter what I eat. I’m still very fatigued if I do something for more the two hours straight, like housework. I actually feel faintish. Sometimes I’m hungry sometimes not. When I eat I have to be very careful because I don’t feel full until it’s to late then I’m sick, I’m trying to measure out food but I’m so hungry at that moment that I feel that one more tablespoon is not going to make a difference..wrongo! Otherwise I’m feeling great, no pain or soreness anymore I never took pain meds so that wasn’t and issue. Sleeping is getting better can lay on my side now without discomfort!! Just like to know how everyone else is doing and stage they are in? -
Hi takes me to my graph where I’ve been entering in my weight. But does not show up on my profile

So glad you are getting band out as I can tell you the longer you wait the worse it is. I had mine done together, it was about 5 hour total, 3 hour surgery 2 recovery room. I had my surgery at 8am I was up and walking by dinner time. I walked as much as I could and never had one gas pain. They have you hooked to everything so it wasn’t easy to get around. This recovery has been so much easier then having it put in. good luck to you -

So glad you finally had your surgery done! I too had The hiatal hernia issue too, just awful. I’m 18days out and feel good, I get tired easily but that is expected. Had an issue with the artificial sweeteners and dairy made me sick, I’m okay with the dairy as of a few days ago, the sweetener I’m incorporating in slowly. My weight loss is about 4 pounds. Don’t worry about the full liquids as my doctor told me last visit if you feel comfortable drinking more do it, I drink just as I did before my surgery now, no little sips. -
That’s good for no cravings, I think it’s more of a texture issue with me know that I’ve been finally been able to hold protein in. Are you a revision or just bypass?
-
It is thrush...just gave me one pill. I’ve been adding half power aid grape to my 32oz water bottle, helping me drink more!
-
I had to go with plant based protein because by proces of illumination I found out it as the whey that was making me go to the bathroom. Found organic protein at Walmart, feel so much better getting and keeping in the protein. the nutritionist told me to watch the calories on slim fast but if it’s the only meal it should be fine. room

How do you get to have all your surgery and weights to show including the cute chart?
-
How are you doing today? I trying a different kind of protein shake, I know if I can get the shakes to stay in I will feel less hungry. Last night I noticed my tongue was a dark color. I brush twice a day including my tongue but don’t usually stick it out to look! Yikes looks scary, my opinion it’s not thrush I had it last year from another surgery. I’m waiting to get a call back from the doctor. I’m going to try increase my fluid today whenever I feel hungry. Hope your day goes well! Let me know how you are doing! Jacquie

Do you have a Peter Harris near you or label shopper. The have an amazing plus department. All the clothes left over from high end Department stores. They just had a Calvin Klein dress I got for church for 19.00. They have great 3,4,5 dollar clearance racks.

Thank you for the post, encouraging to me!

Kelly, thank you so much for responding to me with such helpful answers. It’s helpful to know we are just weeks apart. I hope we can continue to talk to support each other. Not many people at least that I have talked to are band to sleeve. What was your decision to go to sleeve rather then full bypass? Mine was I had Ovarian cancer 2016. I was blessed to have listened to my body and the doctors caught it in time I was stage 1. Which is extremely rare to catch it so early, I’m so thankful. My GYN oncologist urged me against the full bypass due to saturation of nutrition if it should come back. I get checked every 6 months. I used to think that was a myth about getting enough nutrition but I trust my doctors. I called my bariatric doctor this morning to ask about my tongue. Also I never asked about intercourse..lol. I too are still tired and some days sore more the others, it seems lifting my legs to get in or out of the car or bed hurts, sharp pain for a second. Thank you for the helpful hints, I will try them today. thanks again! -
It’s going to be hard work, new lifestyle full of changes. We can do this!
-

I’m doing good, I have some days I’m full of energy and then forget okay not two weeks yet and crash, I’m really careful not to pick up over 10 pounds. Just a few questions? Is it normal to be a pound or two heavier when you get home? I lost 4 pounds after the 5th day and that is all. I’m not Pureing every single thing, I just chew till it’s mushy not any meat or chunks. Has anyone else done that? When I started to eat I can’t rake in anything dairy or anything with artificial sweeteners goes right through me.so odd...worried about not getting enough protein...Okay last thing of course I had a sore throat after surgery for a few days no big deal but my tongue has been burning, brushing my teeth last night my tongue has a dark color to it. I had thrush before but that was white and bumpy. -
Yes I am tooo. I was doing intermittent fasting since March of last year, not only did I lose weight but cravings for snacking and eating in general. Since I hav been in stage Puree I’m hungry all the time. I hate this feeling, it seems the only thing that helps is scrambled eggs with a slice of cheese. Just saying that makes me hungry, I really don’t want to go into my eating phase feeling like this!
-
So important to drink, you don’t want to get dehydrated. Call your doctor about the pain, they should have an oncall doctor to speak with. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.🙏
