I’m a sleever but I thought I would check in with all of you. Congrats to all !!! Your stories are amazing —-on our way to being a lot healthier than before. I have a 16 & 17 year old. I told them individually and explained I was as doing it for my health. They were nervous at first because they understand the risks of surgery and of course google tells them everything else !!! They have been super supportive during this process with me. I had surgery on 12/19 and back to work 12/26. I also have a desk job so I went in comfy because of the incisions. I had my son and husband drive me and pick me from work because I was to weak to drive . hw: 246 sw: 235 cw: 213 gw: ? Sleeved :Dec 19, 2017

4 weeks post op . I had a hiatal hernia I was not aware of at the time of my surgery and my surgeon fixed it while I was getting my sleeve. Well, I have no idea what happened but since my surgery I get acid reflux / heartburn (I don’t know which it is ) everyday at some point in the day. Not sure what causes it. I have a Doctor appointment Monday. But first how do I know which it is or is it both ? And most importantly..... is it going to go away. I’m so sad and discouraged ! I was sleeved 12/19. When I got out of the hospital I was doing really good with my water and protein intake. I was really close to 64 oz a day and 60mg of protein. I feel like this past week I took two steps back. Every time I drink water I get a knot in my chest and I can’t drink anymore until that feeling goes away . Protein is even worse. What is happening? I feel like I’m getting dehydrated and I’m starting to worry. I’m pushing as much water down as possible but I can barely get 16-32 oz (32 oz on a really good day ) Protein hardly any. Thanks for the input Mary! I have to play closer attention to how fast I’m drinking water or my protein . It’s probably exactly that. Just worried it could be GERD. I was sleeved 12/19 . I am on the stage where I can have fish (no shell fish) , ground turkey, non fat cottage cheese, low fat cheese , yougurt , eggs , fruits with no skin smashed and well bitten to the point that it’s puréed consistency, veggies no raw , steamed well , smashed and well bitten . I was also sleeved 12/19. Had a hard time the first 2 days. With gas. Walking really helped. Still having issues with BM. Maybe it’s normal but I’ve only had 4 BM since my surgery . Don’t feel sick or bloated . When I had my surgery I was not aware I had a hiatal hernia. My surgeon repaired it since he was already there. I’ve had a little difficulty swallowing not sure if it’s the hernia repair or the sleeve. Most days I get my liquids in others I’m short some ounces. It’s so hard to get it all in. I have to keep reminding myself. Anyone having trouble with the hernia repairs ? Notice more tightness when they swallow . Or feeling of water just getting stuck ? Hey twin ! I and drinking the same exact thing with out the protein2 infused water. I have sugar free jello , sugar free popsicle, broth , diet cranberry juice , propel .
