    Daily Water Intake

I am a former (somewhat former) soda addict. I drank soda, sometimes instead of eating:thumbdown: And now that I am embarking on this LAP-BAND® journey, I have obviously had to ween myself off the soda and replace it with Water :Dancing_sorry:Well my issue is this. I am drinking water throughout the day. And I feel so FULL of water, I feel completely bloated somewhat. And while I do take a daily water pill b/c I have some swelling in my leg, but now that I am drinking all this water, the FULL-NESS feeling is constant & its very un-comfortable. I try and sip my water throughout the day, so I'm not drinking it all @ once. I'm currently drinking between 32 oz and 48 oz a day, but the girl @ my nutrionist visit advised I up that to @ 64 oz, well hell. If I feel full drinking 32 oz, 64 oz is not going to happen! lol I was just wondering if anyone had experienced any FULL feeling when starting there water regime. And did it go away after awhile? Thank you so much for your insight! 1st visit / 3-25-10 Psych visit / 4-16-10 2nd visit / 4-29-10 Nutrionist / 4-29-10 3rd visit Chest X-ray sleep Study Cardiac visit 4th visit- Approval!! Metabolic Testing

I went too my nutritionist visit today and the metabolic testing was just blowing thru a tube for 10 min. It was basically meant to tell me about my metabolism, and how many calories I should have per day. I did have to fast for abt 4 hours prior to the visit, but she still wasn't able to get an accurate reading so next month I do it again! Thanks everyone for your help! 1st visit / 3-25-10 Psych visit / 4-16-10 2nd visit / 4-29-10 Nutrionist / 4-29-10 3rd visit Chest X-ray sleep Study Cardiac visit 4th visit- Approval!! 4. Good evening everyone I am scheduled for my 2nd visit/nutritionist visit tomorrow afternoon. They called me today and told me to fast 4 hours prior to my appointment b/c I was going to do some metabolic testing. Does anyone know what this is? I was @ work at the time so it didn't dawn on me to ask her until later. So any insight would be greatly appreciated! Eating Questions!!!!

Hey There Jonelle143! I am fairly new to the boards, but not the lap band, I had been contemplating the lap band for about 2 years, and 2010 is the year for me too do it! But I too have wondered about that. I personally do not think I eat alot, as I eat 3 meals a day. My food of choice is Sunkist soda! Its my vice. I do love carbs b/c I do love my pasta & rice, but Sunkist is what I crave! And I know that I need to move towards getting off the Sunkist if want to be successful! :cursing: But basically I just think every body is different, some people might eat ALOT of food, whereas other's not so much, and just eat alot of one particular item! Hope that helped a bit! Good luck! :cursing:

    Stop Sign

This morning, I woke up & did something I hadn't really done in many a year...Walking. It wasn't far, only to the stop sign @ the end of my block, but, 1 I was really shocked I actually got the heck up and did it before, I lost my motivation. But I did. Walked there and walked back. I wasn't overly tired, but it is difficult for me to walk far distances, my back starts to hurt and my leg starts to bother me, where I have to stop and rest. So I'm hopeful to work my way up to walking a farther distance, than the stop sign.

    My 1st Visit

My evaluation/1st visit was this afternoon, for the most part, it went okay. I'm excited yet apprehensive. Having never had a surgey procedure in my life, my apprehension is too be understood. My height & weight were taken and while I had an idea about my height, my actual weight..somewhat shocked me. I don't know if i was, me being shocked how high it wasn't. But the the shock of how high it is. The number was ALWAYS higher in my mind. But then we are our own worst critic to it doesn't really suprise me that I had bumped the number up by about 100 pounds or so. I'm a tad overwhelmed @ the moment. :blushing:

  11. Good day everyone, I've been lurking around this site for about 2 years...:crying: I've read many a entry and have been quite inspired by everyone's experiences. I've wanted the lapband for about 2 years now. I started the process 2 years, and the True Results facility I went too, wasn't a covered provider for my insurance, so instead of looking for a covered doctor, I dropped the entire thing..:frown: I did however recommend a fine doctor for my friend, and she was banded last year & I've watched her lose weight over the past year. So I'm a tad jealous watching everyone around me going for there goals and I sit idly by wanting and doing nothing! The turning point that made me FINALLY decide to throw caution to the wind and do something for me was this past week, I was @ the place I work, which I TRULY DESPISE. A manager came over and asked me if I was able to safely get down the stairs in case of an emergency! Was she kidding is what I thought. As I replied I have no problem getting down the d@mn stairs. Thank you. Supposedly this question was asked of me b/c last year I had a leg problem and my employer didn't want to force me to go down 6 flights of stairs for a drill. Whatever is what i still thought. But @ that time. I decided that I needed to begin to put myself 1st. I put EVERY SINGLE PERSON's NEEDS before my own. So I'm going to take the steps to get the lapband for me. I'm working towards healthy. Even a 100 or so pounds would make me feel 100000% better! Thanks for letting me get this off my chest! Its been building up for 12 years!
